    Playing on Switch while docked (haven’t tested on handheld or headset): audio for the left side of the screen is too low, while audio to the right side is too loud.

      Playing on Switch, and I'm having audio issues when docked and undocked. The audio will skip, and sometimes entirely cut out. When it skips it cuts out for less than a second, but it's very jarring, and on occasion it will just cut out for a second or two.

        I'm reporting a high severity bug here.

        Bug: While playing a multiplayer (2 players), on the 5th turn my colleague (commander Tenri) finished his turn, and then i was not able to play mine (commander Emeric). For him, the turn was ended but for me I kept seeing him as the current player. Then, if one player does a mouseOver the character portrair, his portrait moves from left side of screen to right side, and viceversa. So neither he nor me were able to move our units and we had to finish the game :-(

        Map: El 1vs1, Humedal (in spanish).
        Comanders: Tenri, Emeric
        Both players were Steam users.
        Turn: 5th

          I'm getting crackly sound. I have no streaming software running and I'm outputting straight to my headset. It is fixed by using OpenGL just FYI (as far as I can tell).

            I have problem when using block with dragons in the Cutscene editor on Nintendo Switch. Used a farmer and he sometimes was infront of the dragon and sometimes behind (when overlaping), and that changed without me doing anything. Seems to be a problem with a z-index... not game breaking but annoying! Marvelous game anyway! :)

              While playing an online coop scenario map with fog of war on, on the switch, my friend would move a unit that would get blocked by an enemy unit or end its movement and would overlap with my unit. One time it caused his soldier to instantly die, another time his wagon ended up on a space I had my dragon on and caused us not to be able to move or select his wagon or my dragon. I moved my unit into hos wagon hoping it would fix something, but then when it became his turn it removed him from the game and he couldn't reconnect. When he tried to rejoin he got a message saying something like invalid unit movement. I should be able to get a picture of the overlapping dragon and wagon if it someone would like to see.

                Made a thread about this under suggestions/bug reports too.

                When playing online quick matches on Switch, my turn will often be skipped. This can happen at any point in my turn (A minute in, 15 seconds in, and occasionally the instant the turn # animation finishes before I can even make an input.) Happens very often, almost every match, and makes the game almost unplayable.
                Possibly related: I often receive "Connection to server lost" and "Invalid state" error messages before and after online matches.
                I've checked and my internet connection and Switch's WiFi connection are both stable.
                This error has persisted across two days and through multiple game/console restarts.

                  Curious if anyone else has this issue.

                  Finish a mission (victory condition), on the overworld screen, save and exit. Home button on switch, close Wargroove, turn off Switch (not sleep mode).

                  Come back to it whenever, go to campaign, and it says you left in the middle of a mission, continue or abandon. If you continue, it's the previous match you had just beaten (but now in the middle of the mission), if you abandon, it's like you didn't finish the mission and you have to re-do it all.

                  Basically losing progress. I've had it happen to me each time I turn off my Switch.

                    I don't know if this is a bug or not.
                    So I've S-Ranked all the campaign missions including the epilogue on the Steam version and I have Super Strategist achievement badge to prove it.
                    But I'm missing one codex entry, on the Lore tab, the one directly under Fell Gauntlet. The entry tells me to "Play more campaign missions to unlock more entries!"
                    Is this a bug, or am I missing something? Is the entry unlocked through another mode?

                        Heya, could you tell me a bit more about the multiplayer game:
                        Was a local game or an online one?
                        Which map was selected?
                        How many players were playing?

                        As for point 2, we're looking into this as part of the Quality of Life update coming soon :)

                          Hello, I’ve been loving the game so far, but I’ve encountered some bugs on the cutscene editor on the Nintendo Switch version. When selecting certain sound effects, the game kicks back to the main menu and says “Halley Exception on Resources.”

                          I have specifically had this happen on “Small Explosion” and “Magic Blast [1].”

                          I have tested it in multiple campaigns.

                            EDIT: Updating, I finished Elodie's Arcade mode (on Hard), and it unlocked the codex entry! Complete with the notification and everything. I don't know if that's intended or not, but if it is then some clarity for the future players will probably be appreciated.


                            Thanks for the quick reply. I just did the mission again - no dice, it still didn't unlock the codex entry. I wonder what happened that made the trigger miss?

                              Here's some more info about this crash. It happens in both docked and undocked mode. It seems to not happen during a cut scene, but then will crash when the cut scene ends. And to clarify that last part about 3 hours, that is the amount of time it takes for a non-primary console to have to renew its token to allow downloaded games to be playable again. If you have any questions or need a demo, let me know and I'll create a Youtube video detailing this crash. It is a bit annoying to have to restart the game every time I put the game down for the night and pick it back up the next day. But kudos for autosaving progress so I don't lose all of my progress on a map.

                                Playing on switch. When I choose multiplayer I'm treated to a window with a scroll bar that looks to be a server list/ game list to cycle and join games from. This list never updates except for any games that I start myself or leave from quick play. Is this the intention or is this list supposed to show available games to join as well?

                                  System: Nintendo Switch

                                  Description: When using the zoomed in mode in handheld, the camera will not follow enemy units when they move long distances. For example, the sea turtle can move off the screen and attack something but you won’t know where they moved or what they did until it’s your turn. This can become a hassle on larger maps with a high number of units.
                                  I experienced this issue in an AI battle on the map Manta Bay and only with vertical movement. I would assume it’s the same for horizontal but because of the aspect ratio, the larger number of spaces to travel horizontally lends to it not being an issue in this case.

                                    Playing on the Switch

                                    Doing an online 2v1 game with two other friends playing on the same network, but different systems. One is using their laptop, the other their Switch. Whenever it is the solo player's turn, I receive a brief Victory Screen, then the game immediately disconnects and I am sent back to the Main Menu. This only occurs on his turn.

                                    The error message states:

                                    Oops! An error has occured!

                                    Connection to server aborted due to an error response from the server.

                                      When playing on teams in local multiplayer with (fog of war on) vision isn't shared between teammates. It made it really unpractical for my friends and I to play co-op while passing around the switch.

                                        Fog of War against CPU is very, very broken. The enemy AI can see you no matter what. You can’t see any enemy around you then, surprise! The CPU moves in with their Giant and smash your trebuchet just because you thought the CPU did not see you put your trebuchet in a location where no enemies are around. It’s useless to “hide” a unit in a forest when a random archer will snipe that unit from god knows where it came from.

                                        Also, not sure if these are bugs, but why can we see how many units our enemies have on fog of war? Why do we see their movements and whether they are capturing a village? Why do we see our enemies’ total gold and why do we see them spawning a unit and knowing how much was deducted to their gold? You shouldn’t know anything in fog of war except for units uncovered from the fog.

                                        Aside from Fog of War bugs, you can move your pointer with the D-pad while any animations (even on enemy turns) and “teleport” your pointer after the animation or the enemy turn ends.

                                        Can we also have an option to make the combat animations a bit faster? I love the animations but they take a tad bit longer since the units need to move to the other side of the screen to attack (unlike in advance wars where the units just shoot).

                                        Looking forward to a lot more polish for the game.
