Ugh, gross, these are particularly nasty. Use multiple malware and virus scanners. Even then it may be really tough to get rid of. Personally I'd just re-install Windows (not joking) and deal with installing my old programs back on instead of spending time trying to scrub it clean.

So what you're saying is that you got a virus because you didn't download your Starbound mods from this website? Also, if someone could PM me about that Starrybound controversy, that'd be great because I'm lost with that.

Rule #2 of the internet. There is seemingly infinite porn, and it is unregulated. See rule 1if you need to, and just don't download porn.
Rule #3 of the internet. People that don't agree with your opinions are wrong and must be assimilated into your belief system immediately.
Rule #4 of the internet. There is no rule 4 of the internet.
Rule #5 of the internet. Don't believe anything you see on the internet or you will end up dead, or worse, looking stupid.

I think I see your problem here.

Anyways, yeah, I recommend scanning with Malwarebytes and Dr. Web, if they indicate nothing, it's fake alert and you should incinerate Avira.

I really recommend NOT just copying Starbound files, no all files are kept in one stop, some are spreed to different locations, steam has the option to change the install location of a Game, theres a few ways to do it, Search it up.

Copying the files should work, but, its just safer for Steam to do the copy, as it will make sure everything needed is there...

As for the Virus, its not Starbound, Maybe you have another virus, that, or your Virus Protector is Infected, meaning you need a new one... or you have a virus that pretend to be your Antivirus, so it looks the same, but fakes a "Virus Detected" message, and when you click a button it starts the infection to your PC...

Either way i REALLY recommend cleaning your PC, it seems many people already gave tips on how to do it,

And for a great Antivirus, i recommend "BitDefender", its been rated #1 Antivirus a few times, and theres a few Free Keys floating around things like Google, that have unlimited uses... so if you cant buy it, im not going to say to go get a key, but, you could go get a key.

Iv never had ANY viruses after buying BitDefender Total, nor do i get Popups, or anything, even before that iv had no viruses, it pretty easy to spot a virus, and stop it before it digs into your PC, doing that along with BitDefender and Windows Defender, iv had 0 viruses.

It's impossible to surf the web safely. Many legit sites get compromised sometimes and you end up getting infected that way, even though it's been safe up until that point. It's obscenely easy to get a virus as malware authors get more sophisticated in their methods. Not all malware slows the computer down or tries to get you to notice it. That's a common misconception and fatal assumption most people make. "As long as my computer is fast and isn't causing me trouble, I'm not infected." There are many fast and trouble-free computers that act as botnets without the users knowledge. You know you're infected when you get a bill with an abnormally high data charge.

What's the best protection against this? Prevention. The strongest type of prevention is a sandbox. You should always have an IS suite on top unless you're an IT professional who is capable of manually removing malware. For 0-day exploits, sandbox/default deny is the best protection.

some mods somehow uploaded on starbound server , uploading from there so far was ok , but there is too many MODs that use external source , and from this external source ,usualy the page itself contains viruses , even if i have plenty way of protection i still get viruses from this pages.
on the other side , some ppl even post link to another comunity and if u click on it u land on some kind of pornografic page and before u manage to close it u get load of viruses , usualy or ur antivirus start literaly cursing

A bunch of Curse game sites were hacked yesterday and gave people using the site a virus if they clicked on a mediafire URL. I don't know if that's related to this or not.

I used and liked Avira a long time ago, it was alright in the mid 2000s but one of their updates back in the day broke the installation. That was around the time I decided to try something else. Good luck cleaning whatever you got on your computer. If worst comes to worst prepare to reinstall. I read the report on the detection you posted on Avira's website and it looks like a low risk low threat virus, but it didn't really have a good description of what it does.

Also, make a backup of your documents and important data regardless just to be on the safe side. Nobody likes losing data! If you want to be extra safe put it on something like a usb memory stick and have a friend or a computer repair shop run a virus scan on it.

People, seriously, don't go into problem exaggeration and "oh well better format C man". If more reliable malware detecting software finds nothing, it is nothing.

I'm not sure. A message popping up asking for money does sound a bit more suspicious than your average computer problem. Unless that is how AOL is doing their billing these days.

Yeesh, it's scary that people still recommend reinstalling Windows to remove malware. Use Windows Defender and keep it updated. This is all you need if you don't go clicking every link you see. A quick search of "TR/Crypt.ZPACK.Gen2 Trojan" suggests that it is very serious malware that allows remote access to your computer (so don't go online). Apparently Kaspersky TDSSKiller can remove it. There are probably other ways.

Depends on the malware, and how new it is. It's possible, if unlikely, for someone to catch malware that is new enough that detection isn't yet possible. It's also possible that malware hides itself from detection, though generally the type that does that brings in other stuff that isn't hidden.

    Speaking of that...
A bad Vundo infection can do enough damage to someone's computer that reinstalling is the best choice. Some of the really, really nasty malware can leave your operating system in an unstable state even after it's removed, as it alters system files. Even if you think you figured out everything it did, it's often a case of better safe than sorry.

It should be noted that newer versions of Vundo can also include Ransomware: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ransomware_(malware)

Dunno, I'm not sure what exactly was that if it didn't repeat ever again, ever. Might be just some coincedence with some annoying ad that looks like that or whatever.
Well, some stuff is strong enough to fuck up anything, that's a fact.
