Video Forest Demo

It seems to coming along swimmingly. The movement seemed nice and fluid and the jumping gave me the impression of being on another planet. smooth but yet graceful.

 

Everything about it is beautiful. The look and atmosphere on the planets, the fluid movement and animation, the lighting, the amazing music. There's nothing about it NOT to like

Looks great This is probably the game I am most excited for next to Diablo, and probably the only one I have been this excited about in years. Maybe Im just getting old... Really liked the light/torch effects and although the music was really smart, didnt think it fits well with the theme of the game, or at least the exploring part. Would be better suited to a bit where you are just chilling at your base, or in the menus, in my opinion. And fluid running through terrain?! YES! No more getting stuck on blocks a-la Terraria

Absolutely gorgeous. Now I am getting all excited about the coming water dynamics video.

 

While interesting, the video does not really say allot. The trees look very good, the animations are also good...though I looks like the characters knees are going up to high, and the use of the flashlight was also good. But as a tech demo it was very good. Other then that...there is not allot there.

 

If they release a lot of awesome footage at once, people's heads would explode.

Hmm, A multicolored Forest in that video, Reminds me of Terraria's Hallowed Biome.

Also I hope that flashlight isnt the only light source.

 

I do not count that as a bad thing. Survival of the fittest or may be most skeptical as the case may be.

 

Can we nominate the music in this game for an award yet? Seriously, it may be my favorite part so far.

 

Such a beautiful looking game. The animations are fantastic and I love the sheer variety that can be achieved with the engine. Looks like its going to be a joy to just wander around in and I can't wait to see some more biomes in the next videos. I'm also hugely loving the music too. Whoever they've hired as the composer is doing a fantastic job!

No random jumping, no blocky lighting... even the stone is smoother!

 

My head already exploded. And then imploded back together. Cuz ya know, God was like, he can't die yet! Starbound hasn't come out!

 

i like the pacing of the walking, it seems smooth and graceful, i also like the variety, this is making me wonder how large planets are going to be in the first place.

 

Tiy said they MIGHT make it so some planets are infinite, not in the terms of looping around, actually infinite.

 

wow thats um pretty insane ill give you that, that would make chosing to actually leave a planet a hard choice.

 

Alright, I got mine out now. Video making is a learning experience for me.


I'm most interested in the wind though.

 

everyone going crazy of seeing a dude walk in the day n night but still yeah amazing forest biomes
