who wants to play with other people with this mod look here i requested the mod my self for multiplayer purposes its also the first server with the mod

 

I installed the mod, and my current feedback is that the icons used by the Vespoids need overhaul because they are large and clunky, especially compared to other races (vanilla or modded).

Help Vespoid is not showing up I can't create one.

 

You need a character creation extender mod to make custom races show up in your character creation menu.

BTW as a fan of arthropods I really love this race. However one thing in particular does bug me about it. Males of vespid species don't have stingers. Stingers are an altered ovipositor (an egg depositing organ) so it is pretty much impossible for a male to have a stinger.

Regardless it is a bit odd. Like giving a female peacock the pretty blue and green plumage.

But they are aliens so in this case maybe the stinger evolved from a different organ. Maybe you should look into that and applying what you come up with to their lore.

BTW I'm curious. Do they have two stomachs like bees?

 

I dunno if they have two stomachs, I can't edit their insides. @!@ And you said it, they're aliens, therefore stingers on both genders. And I'm not gunna change it. ;3

 

Well biology is what background information is about. And given their humanoid structure and lack of a third pair of limbs it might be possible to fit a stomach in the thorax since it shouldn't need as much muscle.

As for the stinger a stinger is unlikely to evolve on its own so there generally needs to be an originally more practical and easier to construct organ that can be repurposed as a stinger. Ovipositors are an obvious candidate but it is also female exclusive.

Next to the ovipositor a viable candidate is reproductive organs but that is... A bit too invasive. And not at all appropriate to younger audiences. Maybe it could be adapted from a bioluminescent organ and a gland for creating the chemicals for this bioluminescence. This could have been used for enticing prey or attracting mates but may have been repurposed into a weapon for other reasons.

That's just one idea.

 

Kind of like Fireflies or glow worms although they use the glow for mating rituals as well

 

Something like that. Only they will have lost it in favour of replacing it with poison.

Also fireflies use it for attracting mates. Glow worms don't. They are way to young to mate as its the larvae that produce the light. Instead its a lure to attract unwary insects that get lost in their cave. Then they devour their prey alive.

Yes and no. Depends on the species and even then the female isn't technically a grub. It just has an adult form that is similar to the larval form.

But as far as I'm aware its usually the actual larvae themselves that use this method to catch prey.
