    There needs to be more graphics settings in the game, because it is very very laggy D: and when my brother minimized it, it made the game window like 5x bigger. also the resolution slider bar thing doesn't do anything after changing it and picking accept.

    What are your system specs, and your resolution bar is not having any impact on your resolution at all?

    My resolution slider doesn't work at all either, though I don't have a lag issue.

    Hmm that is interesting My only real suggestion would be to try and restart steam and the game and see if your resolution slider starts to work again as lowering your resolution could potentially help your lag problems.

    Resolution doesn't affect windowed mode, only full screen. My fix is to decrease the window size and then decrease the "zoom" option in the options to maintain size of view. hope that works.

    If slider don't work go to starbound directory find "starbound.config" edit in notepad changing resolution.
    This look like this
    {
    "fullscreen" : true,
    "maximizedResolution" : [ 1920, 1080 ],
    "maximized" : true
    }

    Having this same issue. The resolution slider only works for fullscreen mode (Says so right under the name of the slider), but when I switch it to fullscreen my game crashes. It is much better when zoomed to x4, but even then I have issues maneuvering around the enemies.

    Seems to lag more with more enemies are in the area. This effect compounds with each additional enemy.

    As for specs, I'm not sure what exact specs you will want. But I do know that I can run Skyrim just fine. Granted, not on max graphics... but it is still Skyrim and I had figured graphics of this quality wouldn't really give my computer much issues... Any suggestions?

    I'm running extremely laggy in areas with a lot of background items...specifically dynamic ones. also whenever i'm in a bunch of vines for some reason i drop frames like crazy.

    Same here. This appears to be strictly game related given that me specs are:

    Processor - Intel i7-3610QM 2.30 GHZ QUAD core
    16 gigs of ram
    Windows 7 64-Bit
    Graphics - GeForce GTX 670M

    I check my ram and CPU usage when experiencing lag and it's all very low, so my laptop isn't struggling. This appears to happen in biomes with a lot of different plants growing on many blocks. This always happens in cities, and ESPECIALLY in Avien pirate ships in the sky. I think this is just a performance fix we are going to have to wait for.

    (THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOUR USING STEAM) First right click steam.exe and select properties, then go to compatibility, if the box that says "compatibility mode" is grayed out and you cant select anything then do this: Go to run on your start bar, from there do this "Run" -> type "regedit" then go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers" and delete the steam application, and then do the same thing to this --> "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Persisted" after that it should run perfectly! (the very last folder in your "regedit" could also be named "Layers")
