We don't have any proof the Hylotls are cannibals. All we know is they eat humans (Which isn't cannibalism).

This has totally changed my opinion on the Hylotl. I didn't know they liked humans.
But seriously, this is an interesting even if it doesn't really come about in the finished game! Piranha Hylotl.

 

Stranger in a Strange Land does an interesting job of placing the idea of cannibalism or eating other sentient species in that sort of vastly different light.

Yeah, for some reason a Science Fiction author who has been dead for over 30 years just doesn't have as much popularity as he once did. It's a shame though, Heinlein's work is still a very interesting read, even if some of his concepts are out of date.
