Well, It can't be all that bad. Not until you celebrate the end of a stars lifespan. o.o;

 

World's End

A holiday that occurs just once in a planet's lifespan, as it honors the end of it's life. Even though this holiday occurs on just a single day, many cultures around the universe host a week-long festival near the planet's location to celebrate such a monumental moment. Oftentimes, it is not an event of death and destruction, but instead gives tribute to all the planet had to offer and what it did for the species that lived on it.

Reflection, admiration, respect, contemplation - all of these and more are what this holiday is about. It is to celebrate how wondrous the planet was during it's lifetime to host such an environment in which the species thrived enough to eventually lift off from it's surface and expand out into the depths of space. In many senses of the word, the planet acted as a Mother to the young lifeforms that lived on it. It is this that is celebrated - the life of a species that through the planet, will live on out into space.
