Made my account here specifically to look for this suggestion and make it if it hadn't been made, although personally I thought that it could be a mode that could be toggled on/off at the start of the game (like selecting your difficulty)
I dont see what kind of value this adds to the gameplay. If higher gravity means smaller jumps then in terms of scale, take a planet with normal gravity that has a 8 block high ledge, doubling gravity really just means that that ledge is now 16 blocks high and vice versa for lower gravity. All that will really happen is players have to use more materials to move around in high gravity planets and less in lower gravity. It also means if it were to be implemented that certain techs would have to be scaled along with gravity such as bubble boost. Keeping the same speed on the movement it gives would negate any effects of gravity, all movement related techs would need to react accordingly to the levels of gravity. I just dont see how gravity is meant to enrich the gameplay experience
The value is in the varying added gameplay. Large and med planets have say a norm to slightly reduced jump height and the moons have a bit less to feel like your walking on a moon. Same goes for the monsters too. Or even thrown weapons or arrows etc... I honestly don't know why I even responded to that question.. Feel dumb getting sucked into this troll's hole..
