I went through all of the mods and I had one mod terranade that messed with liquids.config and it was causing it to crash so I deleted that one and after that I was able to launch the game just fine but no new biomes.

    Hey

Wonderful mod you did, for that I'm very grateful, but this mod "overwrites" the coordinates of YourStarboundCrew (and any custom) planets I put in the universe folder.

Is there any kind of workaround for this?

  4. Raindrac

    A workaround? Actually, yes.
Uninstall my mod, create a new character and view/goto every planet which you want to visit for YourStarboundCrew. No need to visit the planets, just view them and the game should save their coordinates.
Once you do that, reinstall my mod.
Huh, that's not what I expected. None of those mods modify celestial.config.
That's strange, so I'm going to troubleshoot around.
I've noticed that your folder for my mod is named incorrectly. It's supposed to be named "A-DracY-VitsoU". Did you rename it?
If not, uninstall the mod. Then download this and extract the A-DracY-VitsoU folder inside of it to the mods folder.
Once you do that play the game and click "Random". See if those planets are updated.
Of course! Only some biomes have dungeons though. The Umbra, for example, doesn't. It's all intentional.

I just updated from Furious to Enraged, and updated this mod to go along with it. I also just started playing on OS X, and ported my save files over from my windows partition. I had built a *ton* of stuff on a floating islands planet. But when I opened my save file for the first time, I had my starmap reset with none of the sectors unlocked. Regardless, the planet I had been building on was in Alpha, so I navigated to its coordinates and the same system/planets were there, but the planet I had built on was now a barren lunar surface. No atmosphere, no islands, and certainly none of my structures that I spent a couple days building. Any ideas?

I just figured out what the problem was. When I unrared the mod I just copied over the unrared folder instead of the folder inside it. Thanks I would never have figured it out without the help you gave me.

So I have one more question. I installed this mod for the ocean planets so I could build an underwater base but after some experimentation I figured out that the water is endless so it can't be drained out of the structures I build underwater, so I was wondering is there a file I can edit so the oceans are not endless?

The water in cove, tropics, ocean and arctic biomes is infinite and will spread in any direction, but will not spread up above the games specified ocean level.
It's still possible to remove it though by placing blocks both above and behind it. Ocean water seeps in from the background, and spreads from nearby ocean water.
You can remove it like this.
Just make absolutely sure you place the background blocks before removing the foreground blocks, or the infinite water will seep in from the background. I recommend having a layer of walls incase the infinite water breaches your base, because it's well.. infinite and spreads in any direction that isn't above ocean level.

And yeah, you can remove the infinite spread in liquids.config but it will be quite buggy as oceans aren't designed to be drained. As long as you don't touch the water level of oceans everything should be fine, though.
Just change this in the "ocean" liquid type...
    Code:
          "endless" : true
    to this...
    Code:
          "endless" : false

Sometimes when I restart the server, it crashes with something like this:
    upload_2014-2-26_17-30-20.png

(sorry I forgot to copy stuff from server.log before restart, so it lost ... again)

Any idea what could be causing this? I have other mods too, but I rly can't find an obvious conflict. Not using Starscape.

Are you using Industrialization? That is one of the incompatibility issues.

Geh, double posting because I forgot to reply.
Check Starbound's front page. If you've went from Furious Koala to the recent Enraged Koala hotfix, you will have lost your worlds since you haven't played the first hotfix.

    Hey Dracyoshi quick question here

I noticed almost every planet I visit there's no clay blocks either on the surface or underground. Did you toggled it off? In which biomes do I have a greater chance of finding clay blocks (I went from forest, grasslands to arid or artic, but found nothing). Tar Swamps maybe?

I need some clay to use in a recipe from a mod, but unfortunately I got rid of all my thousands of clay blocks that I found after installing VitSotU :S

EDIT: I haven't searched through Jungle and Desert biomes, so I'll report back if I find clay in there!

EDIT 2: I found clay in the Jungle biome, heh. Guess I wasn't looking at the right places...

swamp planets are also a good place to find clay. But yeah jungle is one of the best sources for that block type.

    Hello Dracyoshi,

My friends and I have been using your mod for a while and love it. So honestly thanks for being both very awesome and very creative.

Unfortunately, with the latest patches and updates we have had some problems in our multiplayer server. In "Sector X" we don't have any planets from levels 7 to 10. All the planets we originally had mapped out have been replaced with planets from levels 3 to 6. We use no other mods and have tried uninstalling and redoing and following your directions. So either we are having some sort of problems that haven't been found yet or we are doing something wrong.

Please, if anyone has any information or help please respond.

Release 1.0.1.0 | And it was a dark and stormy night...
If you have previously installed this mod...
VitsoU: Deletion of any previous installations required before updating
Vitsou + Starscape Patch: Patch update required, delete any previous installations of Starscape
Vitsou + Liquids Extractor Patch: OK

Read the rest of this update entry...
Try downloading the latest version. This was fixed in the 1.0.0.4, but since a new update just came out it'd be a good time to see if updating solves the issue.

P.S. Any hopes of weather mods being compatible are crushed now.

For Starscape, will it work again if we remove both VitsoU and Starscape, put them back in and then put in the last patch, or do we have to wait for a new patch to come out?

Yeah, it will work. The Starscape patch is up to date.

    Awesome, thanks!

Both this and Starscape combined make the universe a whole lot more interesting to explore. I'm rooting for them to be included in vanilla someday.
