Outdated Variety is the spice of the Universe 1.0.1.1 for Enraged Koala

Quick question here:

Is there a way I can visit the custom planets of the Your Starbound Crew mod? I merged the universe folders upon installation, but I can't find those planets in order to recruit my crew, even though I double-checked the coordinates and reinstalled the mod multiple times.

 

Luminaesthesia is working on trying to figure this out, currently any mod that modified the universe file prevents the planets/star systems from Your Starbound Crew from showing up.

 

Is the flat sector still disabled?? I cant fiind it in the printer or robot crafting table. I have upgraded with all sectors, and metals but still cant find it

 

i have problem with this mod , when placed this on my mod folder, and reset the universe, i cant set the first planet how my home, and if try to use warp to home, game freeze and my character still invisible...
if remove this mod, can set my home and visit the selected home planet...

i not have another mod that modifiy the biomes.

 

I am experiencing a technical issue. I'm not sure if it has to do with your mod, but my friend suggested I bring it up here. I can't fuel up my ship. When I access the panel, the slots where you place coal and such are all blacked out, and I can't place anything in them. This problem has left me stranded away from home with nowhere to go, as the asteroid field I am over sets me down on instant death. Help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Nevermind. I have fixed this issue... but on attempt to leave the Gamma sector, I discovered that the Alpha sector icon has disappeared. To reiterate, I cannot access the Alpha Sector, but all other sectors are available to me. This is an even greater issue, and a solution would be appreciated.

 

Perhaps using the patch form Starscape page is the problem, I got it there.

Just downloaded this, I dont see any of the new biomes. The moon is still called moon, i seen in the description you changed them to lunar something. Ive left my planet and went into a new section of planets and im still not seeing anything new. Thanks in advance for the help.

Also, I have like 5 mods on, none of which are any you named in the desc.

 

Click "Random" and you should have the new planets. Nearby planets are not changed because the universe is saved in chunks.
Nearby isn't just a few galaxies over, the chunks are actually quite large.

Yeah, Ganondude hasn't updated the patches DL link in his mod description.

That's nothing to do with my mod, Chucklefish accidentally made it so that you don't start with the alpha sector unlocked.
Get this mod in the meantime as a workaround. It adds a chip which unlocked the alpha sector.

It's crafted at the regular crafting table.

 

I've clicked random several times, and even gone as far as going to 0,0 cords and nothing is new. Ive even gone to other systems, the lower tier systems. Do I have to start a new character?


[edit] When i "installed" I put the file into the mods folder, is there something else I should have done?


[edit] Do i have to move the .info, .config, and .png files anywhere? or just keep them in that file?

 

You would only have to delete your universe folder, I think a quick way to know if the mod is working is that the nav console will have a blue colored theme now I could be wrong though

Also when you say put the file. You did right click it and unzip (extract) yeah? Then put that main folder In mods folder

 

The inverse menu thingy is blue, so i know the mod wants to work lol, but how does one delete the universe data? It sounds as easy as just deleting the universe folder, will that cause something bad to happen? like a character wipe. or will it just create a new universe? and when i do so, will i have to use those mk star maps to unlock the planets again? As long as you don't have a planet base or something you want saved. It resets universe and the sectors you might have unlocked. Yeah just delete the folder. The game will make a new one

 

Im still getting just the vanilla worlds. Ive deleted the universe folder went to X sector and went all over the place and I dont see any new biomes. Are they not in the X sector?

[Edit] Should have asked this before hand, but I just thought of it. Im playing on a server with a few other people. Is the universe tied to the server host?

 

Yeah in all sectors. Especially x. Keep looking through systems search all the planets? I can't imagine why you wouldn't find something? Your other mods work?

 

I just loaded up single player and ive got the new worlds.... I feel dumb for not thinking about the multiplayer before hand. Thanks for the help. :/ I fell dumb now haha

 

Yeah the multiplayer part was a big one not to mention. It's ok though. Your problem is solved right

 

Yeah im new to starbound and ive spent the 35 of my almost 40 hours playing on a server. Its not a popular server so im almost always alone. So i forget im playing multiplayer lol.


One more question, do dungeons and things also spawn on these new biomes?

 

I am having the same problem as Mastermindxbl but I am definitely playing in single player. None of the mods I have should conflict , I deleted the universe and started a new character but still nothing works to get the new biomes.

 

...what mods do you have? It sure sounds like a conflict of sorts.
