I am honestly curious on how this will go with zetta's Aria
I hope she packs radiation treatment pills for people around her.

Oh, so things like Geiger counters aren't gonna help us.

It would take several years to feel the effect of getting irradiated by her

    Oh ok
Edit: Actually something emitting radiation might come in handy like that, because we still have no clue what we are up against.

Radiation detectors will help, since they can pick up 'safe' background radiation; let alone any source of radiation. Oh, and if you're worried about radiation poisoning, you shouldn't be on a spaceship; or off a planet with an atmosphere and magnetic field.

There's probably not going to be any radiation, unless the ship picked up some radioactive materials, because the only radiation might come from the engine, which doesn't work by fission or anything like that. The only radiation could be from when the ship deactivates the drive, but the shields would protect you and it's very temporary. You'd have to be floating in space in close proximity to a ship that activates/deactivates its drive to get a dangerous amount of radiation.

So it doesn't have any fusion or anti-matter based reactors? Any 'high-density' power source is liable to release some kind of radioactivity. You can shield against it of course, but it would be doubtful such systems would be perfectly intact.

It does release SOME radiation, but not really normal radiation. It's also shielded, so luckily for you you can touch it but not (somehow) stick your hand into the engine.

    Should I start it soon?

Might want to do a roll call, but if you're ready to start, have at it hoss.
