I just assumed that the items on the ship would be wiped at some point. I was scanning everything that I found (and could) so at least I'd have that since those records shouldn't be attached to the ship's information. No matter what was stated, I am a programmer and know that not everything goes as planned initially. I did want to keep my stuff on my ship though.

for those missing ship lockers, if you have an old save of your char before the patch, simply chuck this back in. It will be OK (i just did this myself) For those who don't backup saves.... I mourn your fallen ship locker.
Atm it's not even the fact that this bug happened that's annoying me. It's the fact there's almost no communication with the playerbase about this issue. There's been one or two devs or mods stating what this bug is in some threads, Tiy tweeting about the hotfix...but nothing on the main site? Why isn't there a news post regarding the issue and that their fixing it along side updates on the process? It's almost like they've forgotten they have social media.
My ship locker and chests are all fine. I am however having issues with some furniture in the game. Some of the items do not light up when next to them and can't be used. I'm sure this is probably already known but letting others know incase it isn't.
This is the exact reason I've hardly touched the game since the update to EK. Just waiting patiently...(and fixed a few issues myself) However, it is nearly 8 a.m. in the U.K. so I'm willing to bet that there will be more answers in just a couple of hours. Also, has had a lot on their plate lately...
They made one hotfix that did jack all, 'cept maybe fix some interactions with Furnaces as whatnot. Apparently the issue has to do with some file conversions they happened in the latest patch. Pretty much the Oranges they turned into Apples aren't agreeing with that. Hopefully they should be able to fix it but, some people have mentioned that at first their lockers were just invisible and you could still use 'em but now after the hotfix their completely gone...so...ya. Hopefully, I would hope that a company who is having some big issues with their flagship game would do some polite but rude awakenings to their workers to get in the office and fix this.
Just FYI! My beds/chairs can not be used! No sleeping or sitting for me update: after breaking and re-placing the objects I was able to use them again.
Is anyone else having problems seeing alpha sector on their starmap? Its not a huge deal as I will live in delta or X usually but its nice to be able to cruise back to alpha sector if needed.
My ships locker put on a top hat , broke out a cane...and danced out of my ship while singing "Hello my baby!" that little bastard...had almost all my instruments in it!!! maybe thats where it learned to sing and dance from!
When ever i make a new char all i see is black space no planet to warp to and stiing in my cap chair crashes me.
Im using my old char and I had to download a new mod in order to add a new shiplocker but everything I had was perfectly fine besides the locker itself all of the items inside were gone. No crashes for me at all and I can travel to beta but there is no alpha icon on the sector map which scares me. Even making a new char I could not see the alpha icon on the starmap. If anyone finds a fix please let me know Id be very grateful.
