same thing...all my chests are gone...even the ship storage unit...i hope i didnt lose all my stuff....i started playing starbound again after they said no more resets
I played earlier today and was fine. Then I play later (I guess when the second stage update / hotfix came in) and I am having the same problems as everyone else: invisible storage, crashes on opening almost any chest (on ship or elsewhere), disappearance of things. Oh the joys of beta!
Same issue as most of everyone else, my chests, ship storage are gone and I cannot add fuel to my ship without the game crashing. Woooooooooooooo Beta!
I did as you suggested because I was curious (plus I'm one of those with invisible/missing storage/items), and while I did need to have a file(s) 1.8kb (re-)downloaded, it did not fix the issue. I'm glad you suggested it because I did still need whatever was missing just in case it could possibly affect my new character later on down the line.
mmh same here, but that's when using a previous save. And like everyone else, it was after the second stage of this update. I've saved backup copies of my characters from before the second stage. So I'll be able to pull them out afterwards and see what happens following dev responce.
I have, unfortunately, lost all my voxels and metals that my husband and I collected. In order to use any of my crafting items I have had to pick them up and place them down again. This is also a glitch occurring with my furniture. I am using no mods. Also, when trying to connect to the server it crashed several times, throwing up bizarre error messages I was too dumb to screencap. I know this mirrors a thousand other comments, but I just wanted to provide my own piece of feedback. Understanding that this is a Beta I expected this kind of thing to happen on occasion, so no animosity. A little bit of sadface, but no hate! Thanks for all you do, guys!
Tiy tweeted that he's uploading a hot-fix that may put your missing storage back in place, so hopefully you'll get your $$ back. Also, be sure to post bugs in the In-game and Billing Support thread. Otherwise the dev's will never see the problems you're having.
After the update i lsot my shiplocker and when ever opening cabinets or lockers on planets the game crashes to desktop
Well, after the second fix, I guess everything's fine. I can play the game normally again (yay!) except... All the crates that were previously invisible are now just gone. completely. with all the items gone as well. Which makes me sad.
Fan. Freakin. Tastic. I'm most excited about keybinds out of all of this content, to be honest. Now I can finally play with my sister (and she can finally play)! I'm also totally stoked about more frequent updates (and bugs ), woohoo! I'm glad you guys got over this hurdle so you can change your workflow...I think it's going to be great for everyone. Keep up the good work, ladies and gents and robots.
So... The ship storage is still gone.. along with everything else that vinished. Other / new characters are fine. Guess I'm making a new guy. Again.
whelp...I loaded the game after the hotfix and everything was still missing. Quit the game and tried my character backup files from yesterday and upon character select the game crashed while loading with a runtime error.
