I'm thinking the Best route for players at this time would be to make new characters cause it seems all the prior character content is not talking properly with the new update. Seems their non-character wipe idea is sort of backfiring. At this point I know I might as well start new. EDIT: Ok read that and it can sound wrong so just to clarify, I'm not upset in any way; I actually found it amusing that my stuff was just floating there... That and I'll get to run through progression again, see what's changed check the balance of my private servers drop ratio mod (see if it needs to be adjusted again) and have some fun along the way! My solution is to drop off my gear to the new home world my server has, then all I need to do is work up the progression stuff.
Cant sleep in other peoples beds or game dies. Im sure its one simple line of code, but its fairly devastating thus far. Good luck fixing this one team... i hope its not to devastating
Starting a new character shows the ship locker is there in comparison to my other character's missing one, so I believe there are items that are negatively affecting what has been saved vs what has been updated. I am enjoying this game enough that I have no problem starting again to benefit from changes made.
My shiplocker is gone as well, along with other chests, and I can no longer put fuel in my ship. The normal box to insert fuel is just a big black box when I press E on the fuel tank.
WTF YOU BREAK OUR GAME. Dont you test patches before mass release? I thought the last update would stop char wiping. Well apperently no they wont wipe ours chars any more they just make them unplayable. Koala you enrage me.
"I'm mad because Beta is crashing and there are bugs thanks for nothing Chucklefish" Some people are just silly. Although a secret part of me really wishes Chucklefish would troll people... The fish's chuckle on start up has so much potential.
Hmm, yep, just crashed when I tried to look in a crate on my ship. Also, can't fuel my ship, just a black box like @darkpenguin said. Hopefully this will all be fixed soon, as there is so much potential for this game. Ahh, beta woes!
Missing storage containers, crashing when opening various containers, and couldn't sleep in my bed until I replaced it. All and all a pretty bad update and unplayable with your current character. I would have expected these sort of bugs to be caught in test before pushing the update. The Magma world issue since the last update is another example of an issue testing should have caught. I understand the games still in development, however there is some expectation that the code is tested before release.
This new update made me mad... As normal, I used my character to play the new update- and all of the sudden, one of my rainbow chests are missing from my ship! So I check my other chests, seeing if everything else is O.K. But when I opened my other chest; My game crashed! Whats going on?!? Is anybody else having this problem? New characters are fine! I recommend placing valuables on your main character inventory...asap and than just leaving starbound alone until the next update or two. I wish i knew what chucklefish was up to. I BELIEB IN YOU CHUCKLEDUCKS.
