Modding Discussion Using capture pods on NPCs?

    I'm a fan of the whole pokemon-esque thing Starbound's got goin' on, but I've always personally preferred humanoid companions. Since the colony-building update probably won't arrive for a long time, a nice workaround would be to allow capture pods to capture humanoid npcs, be it villager, guard, bandit, or cultists. Imagine assaulting an Apex lab with a squad of hooded ruffians, or burning a Grounded village with a platoon of Avian guardsmen. In fact, any race, custom or otherwise, could potentially be added into your motley crew of spacefarers, provided one can find examples of the race in-game. I think there's plenty of fun to be had with NPCs that can follow you around from planet to planet. So basically, I'm asking if some enterprising person or people could take it upon themselves to make NPC humanoids capture-able in pods.
