Update: Offended Koala discussion

    I have noticed a few issues with the most recent update that I have just downloaded since my computer tower was in the shop. I notice that certain things when they are moving are very choppy in their movement and laggy. Like finding plants growing wild on planet's surface and you press E to harvest them, everything else moves normal speed but you get 2 spaced apart frames of the items moving to your character. I still saw the items I was picking up after their names popped up at the bottom of my screen signalling that they were already picked up. A similar issue is I've seen flying aliens lagging in a like way. They were clearly lagging while I was walking normal speed underneath them.

    On a different note I don't very much like the energy consumption of using a bow. Just a few well timed shots and my energy is done and with the adjustment to the regeneration speed of energy it just doesn't work well. If the bow is going to require energy to use I think that the consumption should be reduced and/or the rate of energy regen should be brought back up some.

    Either way the game feels less smooth compared to the previous update.

    I honestly don't see why an energy cost for using the bow was added. It has a slow rate of fire and requires careful precision, often also requiring time. You are even slowed while drawing the bowstring back and it hardly seems to be an overly powerful weapon (whether this changes in later tiers I don't know). Adding an energy cost, and a pretty steep one to boot, just seems like pointless overkill to me. A needless penalty that actively drives you to not want to use it.

    Energy cost for bows was always there. It's just a LOT more noticeable now since it no longer eats 1 energy per shot. I do disagree with what they did to them since they're already significantly more difficult to use compared to guns, and coupled with the fact that bows are the only early-game ranged weapon most players will have, I think it'd be best for them to either tone the cost down to MUCH more acceptable levels or revert them to their previous state.

    Also, I have been having some frame drops. Hopefully some optimization will help.

    Optimisation is low on the priority list, given that it's likely to break and need re-doing with each successive update. Even so, if the Devs had time it would be nice of them to publish slightly more polished builds, just to see how much optimisation could potentially help people's performance issues.

    I would like to see optimization at some point, cause when I get too many animated objects on my screen it just starts to lag lots.
