    Bringing back USMC stuff would be grand as actual human village with traders instead of just encampment.

    Plus removed recepies, Crystaline and Rust biomes... come on, Chucklefish.

    SoopaDerpcat Pangalactic Porcupine

    I'd like to see the return of some of the old tech, but with their own upgrade/sidegrade trees added on.

    It wasn't always terribly useful, but I for one kind of miss the stomp tech. If nothing else it was useful for exploration and its role can only really currently be filled by a hammer with the Ground Smash special, and those tend to be...surprisingly hard to come by.

  3. Campaigner

    Campaigner Giant Laser Beams

    I want all the cool old stuff we once had to come back. Some of it was pointed out in the thread already, but here's a full list off the top of my head of things that should not have been removed/changed;

    - Old unique monsters and matching dungeons, Including the robots from the USMC
    - Monster parts that were removed for no reason in later Beta builds
    - Partially-random weapons with unique abilities, such as the Orb Launchers
    - Racial weapons, both crafted and generated. Seriously,, they're easy to fix so that they fit in the new combat system.
    - Agaran stuff. 90% of the stuff they had was removed without reason.
    - Random frog merchants with the dogs
    - Mechs. They were a promised feature, but they were removed before release.

    Also on the list of things that were removed;

    - Capturable Po, Moontants, and Apex Mutants. I dislike whoever decided to change these so we can't capture them, and hope that person(s) steps on a pile of Legos.

    As for new content;

    - Middle-ground dungeons and scenarios for finding the clues and artifacts, instead of jumping planet surfaces.
    - Colonist mission-spawned monsters with buffs being capturable. I want giant pets that glow and have better stats.
    - Pets being useful and surviving for more than a few seconds.
    - Humanoid NPCs being smarter than "Hey, the player! Let's run in and NOT ATTACK WHEN THEY'RE HITTING US!"
    - Weapon upgrade system early in the game. Being gated AFTER the main story is stupid.
    - A way to upgrade the Broken Broadsword throughout the story, not just right at the end. Different tiers with better stats as you go along, finishing with The Baron's upgrade.

    Of course, there's SO much more I'd want to suggest, but these are a few that I wanted to mention.

  4. Ludux

    Ludux Void-Bound Voyager

    I just want... a lot of fun breadcrumb chain missions. Like this. This mission used to be in the game: http://starbounder.org/The_Under_Side

    Then it was removed. Why? It looks fun! But now you can't even do it. It was just deleted outright.

    Not to mention these missions http://starbounder.org/Rent_Well_Spent and others.

    Gone, just gone.

    You know something weird I miss? How each species used to have their own individual looking AI. Now they're all just... the generic same one.

  5. DraikNova

    DraikNova Spaceman Spiff

    Well, I know that particular mission was removed because the NPC kept killing itself, making the mask impossible to get, so they decided to place the mask in a chest rather than have a quest.

  6. ActionPoohole

    ActionPoohole Space Hobo

    Add more content for random enemy encounters, more stuff to buy at the outpost, more structures in the random generator, more (or any) random enemy encounters, etc. Just more stuff, right now there's not much to do unless you like collecting stuff.

    I have a massive farm and making lots of Pixels with nothing to spend it on. That is a huge let down and the reason I stopped playing. I'm tired of everyone telling me to install Frackin' Universe.
