Update 1.0 Will the world be deleted ? => yes

Hello,

Great game. Take all time you need to give us the best game possible ^^.

But I would like to know if my current world will be deleted with update 1.0.

I don't want to create new world if it is the case.

Merci pour cet excellent jeu. J'ai déjà passé un paquet de temps dessus et j'ai hâte de découvrir la 1.0.
Mais je souhaiterais savoir si la mise à jour 1.0 supprimera les mondes actuels.
Si proche de la sortie, je ne souhaite pas commencer un nouveau monde, si c'est le cas.

Update 1.0 changes far too much to be compatible with the current Stable - you will have to start anew once it's out.

Sorry, but while playing a game that is not fully released yet like Starbound, you should be expecting things like world and character resets. It doesn't mean they will happen often, but should be expected and planed around. Common points where they happen is major updates and the actual release.

So yes, there could be a full wipe on release for any number of reasons, but its not guaranteed. So if you are worried about it, start making preparations for if and when it happens.

You won't HAVE to, but it will be highly recommended because so much is changing you will literally be missing out on content by not starting fresh. Not to mention a lot of stuff WILL break due to these changes.

So yeah, you won't have to start over, but you really should.

Sadly I feel your pain, I literally set up a village on an entire planet with all custom houses and villagers, it'll be a shame to see it go but with all the new additions I can do it over and much more with cooler biomes, looking forward to the wipe.
