Upbeat Giraffe [UNSTABLE] - Finding Titanium

Hey guys!
I recently played the new Starbound version and now I have to find titanium to step further in the galaxy.
After hours of searching I didn't find any titanium on planets I can access..
Is it because of me playing in casual mode?
Do I need planets with higher threatment then "mostly harmless"?
I deleted my universe folder a few times to reset my star system but I still didn't find that stuff!
Help, please!

 

Titanium is found on planets further into progression. I'm pretty sure it starts spawning on planets that require the Radiation suit.

 

medium planets have them.... esentric stars I believe.... Mostly harmless will far as I know have iron mainly. If you have not fixed the FTL, then right now you are ahead of yourself at the moment, or rather just right for the mining facility theoretically.

I just went to an esentric star (I believe that is how it is spelt, unsure), and went on a snow planet. Dug deep & found, although was much. Didn't dig around a whole lot. Did get enough for the set of armor and possible weapon. So I am sure there probably was more down there I just got what I could and went back to the ship.

I don't know if the star I mentioned is the one I am trying to get to or the one with medium difficulty. All I know is medium difficulty is the one you are looking for. As that is where I found it...

Appended: Note game mode has nothing to do with it really. Not that I know of, but I know I currently play on casual for the moment.

 

no star-traveling without FTL drive...
I can't repair my FTL drive without those crystals..
I need steel armor for the crystal mission..
And I cannot make steel without the M. M. - Upgrade which needs titanium..
so what do I do now if I can't find titanium?
Is there another way to collect liquids? [to get oil]
Anything I misunderstood?

 

You don't need titanium to get the liquid upgrade....><

Not that I recollect... I just recently found titanium on those medium planets, which I had already fixed the FTL. I've had steel armor before that mission. Maybe mis-reading? Just a guess. I thought it was copper, then silver... for the mm upgrades. gold after that. But I think it is one of the first 2 upgrades you get liquid capabilities. I just know titanium is not what you need, it might be another ore, especially if FTL is not fixed.

So i guess try again, and read carefully the quest to make sure. By quest I mean AI in ship for what you need for MM, and what the actual upgrade is. If it says size upgrade, then you already have the liquid upgrade. I hope that at least is a bit more info on the matter.

Ice Planets in Eccentric Star systems generally have Titanium anywhere below -500 blocks. You start getting a lot of it past 1000 blocks.

 

I found that you have to get the ironworks table from quests before the mining one, Then make an alloy smelter, Goto a desert to collect oil with the upgraded matter manipulator then get some iron ingots, I believe you need 3 oil and 1 iron ingot to make one steel, and i could do the mining quest with a singular piece of steel armour, but it is hard so i would reccommend getting more.

 

Im playing the latest update, but when i completed the mining facility and wanted to repair my FTL drive.
The server crashed.

Now when I reconnect,
The quest is completed but the drive isnt fixxed.

Is there any fix for this ?

 

you can buy crystals to the "gaz station" once you finished the mining facility quest
