OOC Unwritten: A Companion RP to Untold

Time to think of a character.

 

Yes, you have been summoned by the Kane god.

 

Name: Nefarious

Age: 22

Species: Human

Picture or Detailed Physical Description: "I big, I bulky, I have small brown hair and wear silly things called tankish top and shorts. Nefarious have no need for silly shoes except when floor feel weird and sticky. Then put on clunky wooden sandals."

Personality: Nefarious is huge and evil looking but deep down he has a heart of gold. Kind of a flirt and totally not as mean as he looks.

Traits: "I super strong. Not just regular strong! SUPER!"

Flaws: "I have no weakness! I am too strong for weakness!" (He falls susceptible to cute things, hates fighting friends, and is grossed out by bugs, lastly finds it harder to fight Florans. Not the brightest either.)

Items: "I have trusty brawling gauntlets of justice. I also carry special fire wand for long range combat in case Nefarious fighting scared enemies who won't approach strong man!" (He also carries a small English dictionary)

Alignment: "Nefarious have no time for silly alignments, I only do whats good for me."

Backstory: "I abandoned by family on accident. Grew with barbaric Florans, They teach how to hunt, eat, and fight. Then Ups people come and ask for help from neighboring village. I start learn English so I can be used. They say money I say yes please." He laughs while chugging down some ale.

Faction: "Nefarious comes from home, no friends or groups here."

Goal: "Nefarious only here for money! and ladies, plenty ladies." He then winks.

Other: He talks kinda loud and he is still learning English.

 

Is it bad that I can't help but hear that in a Russian accent?

 

I thought of the same thing while I was typing it!

Well... Everyone else writes backstories a few sentences long. Mine are long paragraphs.

 

My thoughts exactly.

I like the app too, it's pretty cool (but I'm no GM.) He's out though, so it'll be a bit before he sees this.

 

I wanted to make it plain and simple, I want to have great progression and character development with him. ^_^b

 

So... I believe that we still need someone to do the antagonizing.

 

Maybe that will develop and make itself apparent as the story goes? Nobody is necessarily BAD, but there are neutral and questionable characters, as well as good guys. That might just make it more fun that way.

 

I think we need giant alien spiders.

 

Is it too late to add a character? This one sounds pretty fun. Here goes:

Character App-

Name: Balta Hambledon

Age: The equivalent of a human in their late 30's.

Species (Run non-vanilla races by me first): Novakid

Picture or Detailed Physical Description: Balta is big. Built like a gorilla and with the strength to match, he's pretty physically imposing. His gaseous form is a tea green colour, and his brand is shaped like an upside-down letter "J." His corona streams like a comet's tail from his head. He wears a slightly dingy black waistcoat, a white button-up with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, with straight black pants and dusty boots.

Personality: Boisterous and loud, Balta's known for his larger-than-life personality. Everything about him is big, from his figure to his hearty laughter to his love of all excess. He's a heavy drinker, able to down whiskey in amounts impressive to even other Novakid. He's not the brightest; in fact, he's sort of a lunkhead. However, he's got a sort of simple wisdom and street logic about him that hasn't failed yet. Balta's fully aware of his intimidating stature, and will use it to get what he wants, but he's really a nice, loyal guy who just likes to share a drink with friends. (And the occasional brawl.) Balta is incredibly (some might say foolishly) determined. He never, ever gives up. Even when faced with a seemingly-impossible situation, he'll keep trying, and surprisingly, often emerges with at least semi-positive results.

Traits (Any unique skills or abilities that your character may possess): Balta, as you may have figured out, is strong as an ox, and is a bruiser to be reckoned with. He's known to rip doors off their hinges, and his head brushes many ceilings. You should think twice before getting into a brawl with this guy. He's someone that you would want your back in a fight. He's also very street-savvy, can drink like no other, and most people tend to like to be around him if he's not pummeling them into the ground. He never backs down from a challenge, and is known for always carrying out his end of a bet.

Flaws (No great hero or villain is without an Achilles’ Heel): He's not the brightest solar flare on the white giant, and he's terrible with technology to the point of being distrustful of it. When it comes to combat, Basta's a pretty terrible shot at anything under point-blank range, as brawling is where he really excels. He hates giving up, even when the task in question might get him killed. He's very proud.

Items (A few things your character would never leave home without): A bottle of whisky, a tiny glowing-gas lantern, his bronze plasma-coil knuckle dusters, a snub-nose plasma shotgun, and a pair of scissors. (You never know when you'll need a pair of scissors.)

Alignment (Are you a good guy? A bad guy? Just plain ol’ neutral?): Although he's a bodyguard that fights for money, Balta generally considers himself a pretty good guy when it comes down to it. He likes to stick up for people who can't defend themselves because of his size and strength, and despite loving fighting, also is very loyal to his friends. Of course, he can be a little overly trusting, so it's possible that he could end up being loyal to some not-so-great people.

Backstory: Balta, like many young Novakid, was struck with an unceasing wanderlust at an early age, and signed up as a dishwasher on the first freighter he could find off his home planet, a tiny dustball in the middle of nowhere. He jumped from ship-to-ship frequently, never staying anywhere long, and always strapped for cash. Because of his moose-like stature, Balta was approached by an unshackled Glitch woman and together, they began working as bodyguards and escorts-for-hire and founded a full protection agency, which quickly grew in scope and would occasionally be hired to work for high-ranking government officials, infamous criminals, and intergalactic celebrities. However, as the service grew, the more business-minded Glitch kicked Balta out, calling him "a flippant buffoon who's never taken anything seriously his entire life." Needless to say, Balta was angry. The worst part is, he was beginning to fall in love with the Glitch woman before she kicked him out.

Faction (Do you work for or align yourself with any groups or organizations?): Not anymore, he doesn't. Now Balta's a roaming spirit, a knight errant with no duty and only a thirst for life.

Goal (What does your character wish to accomplish?): Balta wants to become the most celebrated hero in the galaxy, if only just to spurn the agency that fired him, proving that he's not just an air-headed lunk. Although, having a little fun while doing it never hurts. This call for hired adventurers was a siren song for people like Balta: fighters that are strapped for cash and with nothing to lose.

Age: young adult

Species (Run non-vanilla races by me first): Novakid

Picture or Detailed Physical Description: A purple novakid with a scruffy corna. He has a nicle brand in the shape of a heart. He is tall like his brother but a bit more plump.

Personality: He wants to experience everything that he can good or bad. He mostly has a positive attitude to everything but sometimes he can go a bit crazy.

Traits (Any unique skills or abilities that your character may possess): He is able to turn his hands into blades and other minor shapeshifting and is good at hand to hand combat. Trained with rifles

Flaws (No great hero or villain is without an Achilles’ Heel): Unstable and manipulatable.

Items (A few things your character would never leave home without): A maroon suit with a bowtie.

Alignment (Are you a good guy? A bad guy? Just plain ol’ neutral?): He is neutral and he acts on the spur of the moment.

Backstory: Kidnapped by a group of apex when he was young then experimented on. The apex lab bored him and he decided to leave with some of his 'siblings' to explore the world. They landed on a human planet and went their separate ways. He became a professional fighter in the martial arts of the humans. After a many years he got bored of doing this discipline so he joined the army and trained with rifles and was admitted to the beta sector.

Faction (Do you work for or align yourself with any groups or organizations?): He is a lone wolf.

Goal (What does your character wish to accomplish?): He wants to do everything but also wants to find his other surviving 'siblings'
