Please don't create duplicate threads for the same issue. I've merged your posts into the existing thread.

My Steam client just downloaded an update a little while ago, and I'm no longer crashing on the basic crafting interface after using a crafting table.

hey, I'm new to this forum so forgive if I don't do things the right way.
Yesterday I downloaded last unstable build and hosted a multiplayer game for me and my friend.
Everything runs smooth for us (build is awesome btw), but i experience client crashes when opening craft panel (C).
I noticed that if I press C just after loading the game it works just fine, but give it a few minutes, retry and...

"Error: Fatal exception caught: (GuiException) No such pane in PaneManager::dismissPane)

Some additional info: running through Steam, on a Win 10 x64 machine.

Any hint on how to solve this? It's quite annoying =)

    Keep up the great work!
    Cheers

It happens after you interact with other objects, like craft table.
    So Annoying!
I hope that it will be fixed in the stable version.

The same happens to me. After accepting my first quest on the outpost, I clicked C and it crashed.

Hi remember its a good idea to search if some one else reported the problem instead of making a new thread.
    Merged thread with primary thread.

It seems like this issue was present even before the latest Unstable update. I never got it in previous versions, only in this one, which makes it all the more interesting. At first I thought it happened because I had relocated my crafting windows, but it doesn't look like that's what's causing it.
Maybe it's because the crafting windows aren't fully closed and the game is having trouble dismissing one of them to make room for the other one? That's about all I can assume from the error message.

EDIT: I've just been trying to find out what criteria needs to be met for the crash to occur. So far, I've discovered that the crash still occurs if:
    • You interact with the crafting table by pressing E, beam up to your ship, and open the crafting window by pressing C.
    • You interact with the crafting table by pressing E, and open the crafting window by clicking on the sidebar button.
    • You interact with the crafting table by pressing E, re-assign the crafting window key to something else, and press such key to open the crafting menu.
    • Validate your Starbound - Unstable file for any missing files.
I haven't found any way around this other than to just restart the game. It really is a game-breaking bug and I'd like to see some interest going into it in an effort to find out what's causing it and how we can fix it. Right now, I can't do anything in the game because it keeps crashing and I was really eager to try out the new update.
