Closed [Unstable] (GUI Exception) No Such Pane

game crashes when trying to open player crafting menu... most of the time, not sure whats up really, im running the open gl version that i got working by placing msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll in the win32 folder of the game, here is the error i get, keep in mind, that this doesnt happen every time i try to bring up the menu

 

I've been experiencing this same issue. So far, I've only seen it happen if I try to open the player crafting menu after using the wooden crafting table menu. Before that, the player crafting menu will work fine. This crash happened on both the opengl and non-opengl clients.

Since I haven't progressed all that far into the game yet, I'm not sure if the bug only occurs after wooden crafting table usage, or if it might occur after using other crafting interfaces.

When placing objects in the new unstable version I get a CTD error "Fatal Exception caught: (GuiException) No such pane in PaneManager::dismissPane" I do have windows 10 and am running in 64 bit.. will try running the game in compatability mode and see if this solves this, but figured id post this now in case others have same issue,[DOUBLEPOST=1439857750][/DOUBLEPOST]Running in win 7 or win 8 compatibility mode the game lag badly but using the built in compatibility troubleshooter in Win 10 seems to have fixed the issue

 

Hello! Some times when I open the Craft Menu (C) the game crashes:



It's happening on the Unstable Version after this update

 

Not sure how to fix it but it can be avoided by not trying to use [c] to interact with anything ( crafting stations, chest, trees, etc.). So when you want to use the crafting menu make sure your cursor isn't on an object you can interact with.

 

I'm getting the same problem; I'm attempting to avoid using the "C" key and just click the icon, which generally works; but once, even that lead to a CTD. Ubuntu Maté 15.04, NVIDIA GT 640 card.

 

I'm having the same problem in both openGL and regular starbound. I'm running windows 8.1.

 

Also having this problem. It doesn't seem to affect my newer characters, but my characters with upgraded ship space seem to be having this problem.

What settings did you use in the troubleshooter?

 

Happening for me too even on the official unstable build (non-nightly unstable)

 

Just my two cents here but I have the same Issue as well, No Pane exception. "Standard" Unstable ( Not Nightly ) build / client.

 

Using the unstable build, this happens everytime after you opened the crafting table once and then press c to open the personal crafting.
Now i unbound the c key and carry a crafting table with me after crashing several times because i press c out of habit. ^^

 

The error occured as I closed the inventory window and opened up the crafting menu. The resulting error message appeared as the game window closed. The crafting menu didn't open, so however the bug occured, it seems as though it happened on attempting to open that window. However, due to the name "dismissPane," I'm convinced it has something to do with the fact that I closed the inventory, as a closing window seems like a logical place to put the name.



I was running the standard version of the unstable game, not OpenGL, if that makes any major difference. However, it should also be noted that I have been unsuccessful in trying to recreate the error.

 

If you open the menu crafting workbench (crafting table) or other object (loom), and then close the [esc] and fast menu of craft character [c], the game will crash with an error: "Fatal Exception caught: (GuiException) No such pane in PaneManager :: dismissPane ". If a menu was opened crafting character (not the subject), this does not happen.

The error occurs even if the teleport to the planet after using the bench press and already there [c].

there's a chance that when you open the crafting window with the "C" key at the very least, it crashes with this error: Fatal Exception caught: (GuiException) No such pane in PaneManager::dismissPane

if this makes a difference this is on windows 10
