Whoop! Oh man... I have a good feeling about this game once version 1.0 comes out! Also, I dunno, I kind of like the current WIP version of the vehicle repair shop. Gives me of a sort of junkyard mechanic feel. Keep up the good work y'all!
yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! on a side note: "Hostile monsters now damage the player on touch" I was kind of glad when this "spiky effect" went away. But now it's back again, I guess. Any thoughts on that?
/beginpatch /pray *please don't wipe my characters* *please don't wipe my characters* *please don't wipe my characters* *please don't wipe my characters* UPDATE: Characters not wiped!
Little known fact, the planck length in starbound is macroscopic, so touching certain things results in scrambling of the underlying information that makes up the matter. Alternatively, monsters may just descend from the galactic space jellyfish that are well known to space swimmers.
"Several new classes of hard-to-find unique weapons: boomerangs, chakrams and fist weapons. Find blueprints to upgrade these weapons into even more powerful and specialized versions!" im so here for this
>added chakrams >added Midnight and Frozen planets I am installing the Unstable branch just for those, holy hell.
I also showed up just to ask the same question. I liked the idea that we didn't have to stay married to ancient mechanics. It's no deal-breaker, but it seems like a step back. Unless it was deemed necessary for balance reasons? Seems like it'd warrant an explanation since they had previously talked up doing the opposite as much more interesting and a feature.
You can don't get bitten by just brushing up against a tiger, it has to actually bite you. I hate enemies that just damage you from pure contact
It's not like it makes it harder to deal with hostile creatures. It just makes it more annoying to go past them. Right now, you can ignore them by moving past them, but this changes that. Please fix it, Chucklefish.
let's hope this is all just a placeholder for a better combat system that they couldn't push out in time
