Yay, the new lay-out!
Too bad it's being pretty glitchy for now (can't set a background myself yet, and it doesn't work with IE :/) But I definetally love the new style

What was the point of making an unofficial forum? It would be easier if everyone stayed on one forum.

 

I'd say read the first page of this thread for that discussion.

SBF actually existed before the official forums went live.....and, since that time, two communities have formed - with some overlap, but plenty of members sticking to one or the other. To each their own, more or less. Each has its own culture now....

I try to keep up with things here, but have more of a current role over there....

Plenty of precedence for how both official and unofficial communities can coexist - and even be symbiotic - like two sides of the same city. This place will always be larger, etc.....but it doesn't have to be an either/or, since participation in either is strictly voluntary.

Also looking if anyone beat W1K's score on the Y-lympics which I don't see happening.
Also wow this forum looks horrible, where on earth are the recent status updates?

 

Understand it isn't your cup of tea...but I really don't want to get into insulting each others' communities/sites.

Helps nothing and hurts the overall community in the end, right?

As in any communal situation, there are isolated individuals whom feel the desire to act in this manner. However, for the most part, we are striving for INCREASED collaboration and unity, not the inverse.
