I want to first say that I absolutely hate people that try and show something off that is just flat out against the game's capability, like people showing a cave full of diamond blocks on the surface in Minecraft.

That said, here is something I found yesterday that I wasn't aware was possible.

A pool of water on a moon. I've not found anything in code about allowing such a thing to spawn, but alas, here it is. Has anyone else found something like this? I know there is a chance for a tent and campfire, but never water. I've been spending a lot of time on moons working on a mod, seen a lot of the same terrain, and this is the first I've seen like this.

I want more random thing like this ;)

Well, I guess if there's fire on a moon, there can be water. Yaaaay logic!

    liquid water*

There is actually water on our moon, it is just frozen on the caps

I've seen that terrain a lot before, but never on a moon. Maybe it was a generation bug? I usually see that little arch over a pond on forest or desert planets.

Yeah. Oddly I cant find the file for that particular formation. The moon biome is basically just those blasted spikes.

If found that before, just without the water.

Nope. I used admin command. You can change the color of any item.

You can use a bit of json in the command to spawn items. Basically all the armor sprites are actually a shade of oragne/brown, and the code swaps the calue of the colors to whatever you want.

IE: a85636 is changed to 1c7fa0, etc etc etc.

This is how the game does random colors for weapons too.

SBSE/Dyemod is the more practical way to do it though.

Not really. No mod required and works on any item in the game, modded too. Plus, Dyemod doesn't work for latest/nightly.

There's a version of dyemod in the discussion thread that works with Giraffe, been using it for a while.

Well fine and dandy for you. My way works better.

Done and done. No mod necessary. No 3rd party program. 100% all natural, in game commands.

It works "better" if you can memorize hex colour codes. But whatever.

I've not memorized any hex codes. Pick out a set and paste them once.

    My way works better.

I just squirt some food coloring in my eyes and punch myself in the face.

    Done.
