universally seen mods!

I love mods! I've made a few personal ones! mostly character changes.... I was wondering....will starbound be able to make this happen? making it so I can make a new hair, and others can see said hair? or armor? or weapon?

 

Serverside stored mods would allow for it once properly implemented.

Well, one way or another in order to "see" your mod the other person would have to have the files. Any method that just pushes to every other player (even if possible) would be a field day for malware. So no, if I am understanding your question, I hope there is not a way to do this.

 

You mean like joining a server, meeting another player who Insta-kills everything with his selfmade 10000 DPS MODgun?.

 

They can already do that. Pretty easily, too.
They can also make pickaxes that break the entire planet and cause game crashes for everyone by running around as a custom race.

 

I wish for a contraption that comes with every sold pc and castrates you if you use any kind of cheats on a public server. The world shall know it as "SackHack™".

 

It also violently shaves off neck beards.
