It does add some horror survival theme to the exploration, which I like, and adds well in the whole, new planet plan. If not, terraforming a planet will be harder, and I want an empire of blue worlds, I bestow life upon all I rule.
BLASPHEME! Death shall rule the universe with his bony grip! Doom to all!!!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Ehem... anyway what were we talking about?
I'd like this too. Exploring some old ruins and fighting some unique enemies/traps, or seeing the remains of a civilization or city'd be really cool. Mr. Freeze would approve of your idea, before he decides to ice you or not. And no, I will not apologize for making that pun.
My godlike hand gives life and death alike, and it is by my will which shall befall upon your lands...
Oh no, not I, I will survive - Oh as long as I know how to love, I know I'll be alive - I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give - and I'll survive, I will survive! Hey hey!
IT TOOK ALL THE STRENGTH I HAD JUST NOT TO FALL APART. I´M TRYING HARD TO MEND THE PIECES OF MY BROKEN HEART...
Mercury is uninhabitable, so is Venus, so why shouldn't there be planets to explore that don't have any life. There could be no native life, but some of these planets could harbor space pirates. Secret bases with criminals carrying assault rifles. It might be cool if you couldn't even land on some planets because of the harsh environment, but could send a robotic probe down and control it on a monitor that popped up. Like Opportunity :
I'm definitely hoping for some more uninhabitable planets in the universe. It wouldn't really make sense if everything was covered in life. On a side note, where's that quote from? I bloody love grape nuts.
Haha yeah. I eat all my cereal without milk though But I have them with oats and fruit mixed in, otherwise it is indeed like chewing rocks.
I vote for barren worlds, yes, but I rather have an equipment requirement to go down to them rather than a probe, probes are for lazy people that do not have FTL.
Maybe there could be giant rock like creatures that would live on a planet like Mercury with their own civilization or something like that or on like a planet with only lave maybe there could be tons of traps to try kill you protecting a vault from an ancient civilization.
aha semi amen you should be able to go down to these planets with special equipment but if you dont have the stuff yo u can use a probe
wasnt there something like that in jimmy neutron? but cool idea like with glowy hieroglyphics carved on them and stuff
Rock monsters are surely in, seeing as there are crystal and metal trees. But I also want barren planets that actually do not have anything alive in it. I love to terraform those, the change so visible it is awesome. And maybe a few could have ruins in them, but just that, not all ruins have survivors, we do not see Mayans when we explore theirs right?
remove the people AND the horse, change Liberty to a wild broken creature hardly recognizable, the water to silvery poisonous mercury and the sky to green haze but you can still see the stars (no real atmosphere), throw in a good number of epic ruins but absolutely no life to speak of... and you'd have my perfect "uninhabitable" planet which I'd build a resort home on, deck facing the "beach"... in it's very own solid bubble, that is.
Yes, although I also want explorable ruins, with inwards to seacrh for treasure, the Liberty Statue is kind of small for that, and most likely filled with sand. (even if Liberty is a lizard girl now )
