With an exasperated sigh, Surge clambers back up to grab another chunk of erchius crystal.

 

You are unable to do anything as the huge beast tears out her throat in one swift bite... You manage to get into the limo safely with the others as it guns away...

It breaks and you nearly fall down the pit... You are only holding on by a crystal and one foothold...

 

It takes a moment for Miraa to process that she could've saved Ausleira.....After she realizes she is dead, she begins bawling

" *sniff* Mommy! * Sniff* Waaaah! M-mommy! "

"Heh, I should have expected this." Surge pulls himself up with the hand on the crystal.

 

Bloodbeak suddenly smacks you with her flipper...
"Pull yourself together! You're a big girl now and your mom is a very strong woman! She can take care of herself! Would she want to see you like this?!"

Surge scrambles to make sure he at least managed to pull the crystal with him. If he was bound for the dark depths, he needed a light.

 

Artyom uncle's himself, and stands by the hatch gripping an handhold. He unhook himself, and waits for the signal to jump.

 

"We'll get her back... His brother, even in this form, would never be able to kill her. Blood ties among Sallok are too strong for that..."

You get a handhold on the railing. An explosion rattles you off and you nearly fall out of the ship.
"We've been hit! Time to go!"
The pilot goes over to you and readies to jump out.

-Elsie. You hear a sickening crunching sound nearby. One of your eyes have generated enough to see.

You keep it with you as you fall. You fall for a solid three seconds before plunging into an acrid pool of liquid. It stings your nostrils and burns your throat as it leaks into the helmet. You sink to the bottom, the surface in arms reach. The vapors burn your eyes and makes your head swim...

"We've been hit! Time to go!"
The explosion and smell of fuel seems to be signal enough.

 

Miraa just closes her eyes as her tail tightly wraps around her

Surge tries to drag himself upright, he probably shouldn't be swimming in this liquid.

Artyom dives out of the back, assuming the typical skydiving position, waiting for the jets to kick in.

 

It is a long time before the car eventually stops at some sort of motel.
"We're here... Caedus should still be here."
"I guess we should have listened when he suspected a trap..."
Everyone starts piling out.

After a bit of falling it activates automatically, righting you and slowing your descent as you fall.

You seem to be lying sideways in a pool of blood. In front of you is Aüslēira's decapitated head. Behind you, the sound of ravenous crunching and chewing can be heard.

You find it very hard to stand straight, but eventually manage to drag yourself to shore before your head is totally submerged. You seem to be in a large circular cavern. You had just climbed out from a large pool of liquid erchius in the middle. Something is glowing brightly in the center of it.

"Never said you were. I'll ask again... Why should I trust you?"

Eventually a cab pulls up.
"Where to?"

It deploys automatically, fighting you to an upright position. You manage to keep hold of your rifle as Allestar and the pilot follow you down. You can see the other hover ships turning back towards you three.

 

Miraa is curled up in a ball in the floor of the cab

You see the two hover ships start turning back towards your group...
"Sir, they're locking weapons..."

After a while, you feel something sharp dig into your skin and lift you up.

"Apparently not good enough, considering those two kicked your ass like nothing. But the enemy of my enemy is my friend. If you are against those two, and they are against my men, then I suppose I'll have no choice..."
He stands up, the shackles on your wrists and ankles coming off with a 'CLACK'
"You'll be coming with me to that temple."

Miraa gets up and follows Bloodbeak. She walks along defeatedly
