You feel a shot painfully graze at your calf, but you're mostly fine.
"Oh fuck! Don't look back! Sprint for that hovercar up ahead!"
She says, pointing at the limo.

A grenade suddenly goes off, sending your ears to deafen so they don't ring, but your feathers are slightly singed from the blast. It looks like it also may have damaged the launcher.

The ship pulls up faster than expected, the grenade striking the windshield before exploding, sending you back a bit before you are snagged by the harness. Your ears are ringing, but it looks like you've dealt with the other ship.

It's the penguin. You feel very conscious of the fact that he might be a traitor... Or an illusion... Or something. You just don't feel like you can trust him...

Allestar gets off of the launcher, hissing

You suddenly see something barrel past you, and tackle Aüslēira, pinning her to the ground. Something huge, heavy, and very muscular. It has the same color as Aüslēira's scales, and a similar shape.

You have seconds to react...

 

"Do not... stare at me so intently." Surge turns back to the task at hand. The poor lighting might be trouble, perhaps he could use one of the glowing erchius crystals? Using the pommel of his sword, he attempts to break off a chuck of crystal to hold on to.

 

Artyom stops for a moment, dazed, before getting up and looking to see how many are left.

Artyom goes right next to him. 'Sorry, no time to warn you! Chaingun was whirring up, we would've been shot down!'

your pommel manages to break off a small chunk of it.
"Then why don't you tell me just what you are planning? Why are you breaking that erchius crystal?"

There are two ships left.
"We're beginning our descent! Hold on!"
The ship begins to dive...

 

Artyom presses himself against the back wall, grabbing any handholds. Glad I harnessed myself, I'm not planning on taking the express route down.

 

The ship dives towards the surface, sending people scrambling.
"Shoot... I may have gravely misjudged the lift capabilities of this ship... There should be four recovery booster packs we can use in the back! Get yourselves one quick!"
He begins trying to pull up.

Picking up the crystal chunk, Surge pitches it into the cave, hopefully illuminating the slope on the way. "Oh, now you ask. I am going into that cave, so I need some light."

 

It's a straight shit down. "And when we face the guardian? What happens then? Will you just use me like the cannon fodder you think I am?"
He's probably going to kill you for that guardian. If he's with the old blaze, he's probably going to need both...

 

"Do not assume you know what I think." Surge moves towards the edge of the slope. "If you are so troubled, perhaps you should head back."

 

"Perhaps I will, but not until I know you won't stab me in the back..."

 

"You will have to strike first." Peering over the edge, Surge pondered whether it was safe to simply jump down; the low gravity might make it less dangerous to get there, but getting back up will be the problem.

It takes some time, but Rin finishes swallowing the packet and keeps walking.

 

"I'll hold you to that..."
It's narrow enough for you to slowly shimmy up.

He takes out the cigar and puts it out.
"Perhaps... Why should I trust you?"

You hear something explode in the direction of the spaceport... You can also hear sirens going off somewhere supposedly towards the capital.

 

Surge steps over the edge, sliding down the slope into the cave.

 

Artyom grabs a pack, and throws another one to Allestar. He tries to.work out how it works.

Rin heads for the capital to find out what's going on. The junk ship isn't worth saving.

You have to carefully shuffle your way down, before you realize there's a straight drop beneath you... You can't see the bottom it's so dark...

It looks like you just put it on your back and it triggers automatically when you reach a certain velocity...
