Artyom tries to figure out the patterns of the different ships while he waits for the reload.

Simon heads to the entrance directly in front of him. 'Well, let's try and find somewhere to hole up and rest.'

 

With this odd hopping gait, Surge approaches the erchius clusters.

 

You are able to keep up as they eventually burst through the door into the main reception hall, making a mad dash for the exit.

The launcher can only fire one missile at a time.

He continues wordlessly staring at you...

They seem to only reveal their patterns when you fire. Cannon rounds fly by your own ship as it swerves.
You realize you are down to about nine rounds left.

You feel the warmth of a radiant sun coming from it. Extreme warmth in fact. But it makes you feel oddly energized and bold.

You feel a strange energy coming off of them...
"So what is this? A moon guardian against the sun guardian? Then what was the flaming place doing here? Wouldn't it be in the other realm?"

 

"I cannot say for certain. We have not thoroughly explored this place, so there might be similarities between a couple of the biomes." Surge peels his gaze away from the erchius crystals, and continues deeper into the moonscape. He couldn't imagine what the guardian would look like here; though he expected it to have some kind of connection with the erchius.

 

It's unsettling how you far you can see. Up ahead is a massive crater in the surface.

 

If there was any place to look, that would be it. Surge approaches the crater.

 

You have to scramble over the lip a bit. Inside, you see a cave amidst the pitch darkness outlined by the erchius clusters.

 

"Hm. Just roll out the red carpet." Vaulting over the edge, Surge clambers down towards the cave.

Allestar fires another missile and tries to make it curve into one of the ships

 

'Only got 9 rounds left, how far are we from the spaceport?!' Artyom takes his shots at the pursuers, making each shot count.

Harold peers at the man's uniform, seeing if it was the protectorate one or not.

Rin decides to just gulp down the packet and let his body do the work.

 

You have a very bad feeling about this... You feel like something is watching you... Hungrily...

You all burst through the front door as people shoot at you, just in time for the stairwell door behind you to burst open. Something very big and very angry bellowing out an ear splitting roar...
Your ears are ringing painfully from it.

You manage to miss, the missile sailing off out of range.

You hit two of them, each ship begins slowing up from the damage as someone inside repairs one of them.
"Close! Just a bit longer!"

He's protectorate.

You cough violently as you choke on the thick powder. It's very hard to swallow, and the foul tasting protien coats the inside of your mouth.

 

He sets the gun to reload, the goes back to the hatch by Allestar. He clips himself to a bar, and kneels down, trying again to hit the ships with his sniper.

 

Surge draws his sword. "Then be ready for trouble." He takes a deep breath, and continues towards the cave.

Your rounds strike against the ships, but fail to penetrate the hull. A few go through the windows, but from the motions of the ships, they are keeping their heads down.
"Spaceport in sight! 'Vali, how good are you at hacking?"

You can feel eyes boring into the back of your head as you approach. An odd energy comes off of it, giving you a bit of an off vibe. The cave looks to curve off downwards up ahead, but you can't tell the slope.

Artyom curses, and goes back to the 20mm, squeezing off three more shots.

Simon goes into the hallway, feeling invigorated with each step. 'Cmon, we can rest in here.'

You down one of the ships, but another one is pulling up very close to your ship. You can hear the sound of their chain gun revving up.

You turn the corner and are nearly blinded by the sunlight. It's very bright and you can't see.

 

((Ah, alright))
Artyom sets the reload cycle, and sprints back to the hatch, arming a grenade and trying to time it, lobbing it to the intake for the engine of the close ship.

Simon tries to shade his eyes with his hand. What is this place?

 

Surge quickly looks around, searching for what might be staring at him.
