It's a long walk. After a bit, you grow tired and hungry...

You feel an inexplicable chill run down your spine...

"Hey Surge, I don't like the looks of this... M... Maybe we'd have better luck with another one..."

 

Surge stumbles back. "Damn, are we woefully ill prepared for this? Being turned away at every path..."

"Eyeball place? You mean the one with the flesh trees and tendril grass? The place where I found Ocu? Nothing stopped me there, I successfully brought back both guardian and key from that place. Of course one could say I charged in blithely without thinking about the consequences. As for what would have countered it, flesh burns; but that was not necessary."

 

"Seems odd though... You went through that place without any resistance? What about here? Or the lush forest? Or that swampy place with the invisible dude. What stopped anyone there, and why is it here that we're stopped?"
