RP Unheard Screams

The group soon comes to another cage. Inside is a penguin, much shorter than Daggeres. Aüslēira opens the cage and tosses her a cutlass and and pistol. The penguin wordlessly catches them and stands up. She gives you a bit of a sad look, before turning back to Aüslēira.
"Where's Issan?"
"Nearby I suspect... Once we get him out, we'll have to find a way out of here. We won't be able to use the elevator."

The soldier calls out.
"Just keep the middle of the laser sight on the ship when you fire!"
You see the aforementioned holographic laser sight.

The belt clip seemed to have gotten stuck at a wrong angle and a round went off. It's totally buggered as many of the mechanisms have been damaged.

The soldier calls out.
"There should be one loaded now, and there's an additional case in the back.

You pass out before you finish his sentence... Not that he would have cared...

You lack the pixels for a cab... It would take about the whole day to get to the lab...

"Hm, we should check a different hall then." Surge turns back, to take the next hallway down the line.

Surge tries to adjust the air-filters on his helmet; though it wouldn't surprise him if they were non-functional. "I would hate to see the guardian of this place. Too bad that exactly who we are here to see."

With a growl of annoyance, Surge decides to turn back, going to the next hallway. Without a functioning respirator, he didn't want to risk getting poisoned.

 

"Nothing we can't handle, right Simon?" He looks at the Apex expectantly.

Silverclaw volunteers to carry some of the equipment and follows the group.

There is no equipment left to carry. Aüslēira is now leading the group towards the stairwell...
But a hideous and sinister growl can be heard resonating through the dark and otherwise quiet halls...
"It's him... We have to hurry..."
She quickens her pace to the elevator.

The last shot misses as the pilot swerves. But you did manage to tear a hole in both wings of one, slowing it considerably.
"We should be about halfway to the spaceport by now!"

It's a long trek. By the time you reach the top, it is sundown and you are both tired.

 

"The air might be poisonous, and my respirator was damaged in the last skirmish. Perhaps I am simply overreacting though."
