"Do I look okay? I'm not like you. I'm a mammal. I have to wear pants, and that's hard to do when you're suddenly a size 2! If I weren't covered in fur I'd probably have hypothermia. I've got a bullet wedged in my chest cavity that I'll never get out because general anesthetics don't work on kineptic. I'd say I've been better!"

The mayor is more concerned with making things to get them more money. Such as their prized colosseum, which was thankfully very beneficial to us as it got many jobs as fighters or coaches, and brought in lots of pixels for Drahmndvich to use... But, I fear the worst if this is happening. Mr. Drahmndvich would never let them do something like this..."

Is accompanied by a cyborg hylotl, and a pirate penguin... They take their place at the empty seats.

Something feels very wrong... It's a trap... Seems like several of the other members present have come to the same conclusion...

 

"They mentioned Blotski. They said he wouldn't be joining us today--or ever, really." He keeps eating, but a bit slower than before. "Miskahn, Dispair's bianimous carrier, was with him last I saw, and he was partly digested at that point. ... The only way I can think of to really give us an edge is if Knowledge were here. This place is swimming with scientific instruments and weapons of all kinds. If he were here, he could restore my modules to full functionality--or better yet, he might even be able to outfit his avatar drone as an armored combat unit."

 

Surge felt he needed to speak about their possible death at the hands of those agents, but he choked back those words. It might be best they didn't know. "Right, next thing on the agenda; the keys." He presents Nocroix. "Luckily for us, the cultists practically gave us this one, has anyone found other 'unconventionally' designed swords? Also, as far as I understand," He gestures to the penguin. He nods and pats the glacial guardian. It's central eye opens up like an eyelid, revealing the spherical hilt of a sword, before it moves out enough for the penguin to withdraw it fully. A long spike just the right size for him.

"Yes, that. I just needed to make sure. Hold onto it for now; I will not be needing it until we find the door." Surge stabs Nocroix into the ground. "Also, anyone who wishes to carry this blade, please speak up."
