"They will be charging in blindly, underequiped, underfed, and facing an unknown threat... I think the "task force" will do just fine for keeping Terror's attention away from you..."

"Ah Claire! Fancy seeing you here..."

Jareix suddenly notices you...
"I'm sorry, have we met before? I swear I've seen you somewhere..."

 

" Eh. Need some help there? "

Ausleira pops her head back through the hatch...
"You all coming or what?"

 

The group she's in is getting a bit large, making her a little uncomfortable. She gives a very brief wave before folding her arms across her chest.

"Thanks." She quickly replies, her arms still hugged across her torso.

 

You feel something short tug at your pant leg...
"Pardon me miss, but is something the matter?"

 

Her entire body tenses up before she quickly tries to step away from the thing tugging at her pant leg and look towards the culprit.

 

He takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. "Death, can you ask Garret to give me a lift back over to the rendezvous area? I saw him do a shadow jump thing before I came here. I need to preserve as much energy as I can."

 

Allestar picks up Elsie and walks towards the hatch

You don't see anyone, but there is that bird-dinosaur creature grinning up at you...

Unforunately, you aren't careful of where you are stepping and trip on something, sending allestar crashing painfully to the uneven and spiky top of the elevator, and Elsie falling down the hatch, landing ontop of 'Sleira thankfully...

 

"Thank you. I guess I just need to wake up now. I suppose we can leave that to Garret; he'll probably wake me up when he gets there." He sits down and scratches behind his ear. "Sorry for interrupting you guys."

 

The felin lets out a slightly audible growl when looking at the avian-reptilian being. "Douche..." she mumbles.

 

"Consider the stakes at hand Nep... You may need to temporarily bear her soul..."
The floorboards beneath you splinter and widen, and you plummet into the void below...

You hear him reply...
"Misunderstood feline..."

 

His eyes snap open. "If I'm gonna have to compromise, so is she."

 

She grits her teeth a bit, but does not show them to try her best in hiding her rising anger. Being called misunderstood didn't offend her too much, since she believes it applies to her a lot. However, being called feline? Almost as offensive for her when she is called a cat. She aggressively corrects him, "fe·LIN. Please, jerkface."

 

"Well rested my furred friend?"

"About as offensive as being called cat? Probably closer to calling an apex an ape... No offense intended, but it varies from recipient to recipient... As well as the execution of the phrase... In this case, it was spoken with a neutral intent, so you can go ahead and take it as an insult if you like..."
He smirks as he flaps off to rejoin the rather underequipped looking swat team...

 

"I think so." ((sanity check pls)) He sits up. "Is Knowledge or Garret here yet?"

 

She lets out a bit of growl while tightening her paws into fists. After she relaxes a bit, she stays secluded from the others. If I had the ability to shock that prick, I totally would right now... She thought to herself.

He calls over to you, before returning to planning with that dumb smirk of his...

 

He grabs Regi and hooks him to his belt. "Yeah. I need you to shadowhop me back to the rendezvous point. I have to warn everyone else about Terror and get back in there to find the lexicon."
