Hi there! The Search didn' spit out what i was looking for, so i thought to make a new Thread.

I would LOVE to be able to build a Base under Water. Say on an Ocean Planet. Yes it is true you can place blocks underwater and Doors work, but you can't suck the water out of the enclosed space. I would really love if you could add that into the Game, so that i can build my Underwater Base of my Dreams :D

Actually you can suck water out of an enclosed space, the matter manipulator has a liquid mining feature once you advance far enough.
And even without that you could, also just create some kind of airlock mechanism with the new wire features and then voila, you have a functional underwater base.

Well i tried it before i posted it. If you build something on the bottom of the Ocean and enclose it (yes i tried the airlock thing) it tries to suck the water of the ENTIRE Ocean.

Aha. It appears that there are water blocks, and then there are OCEAN blocks. Ocean blocks are infinite water, and won't manipulate, and fill anything they can reach.

Fill in the entire area with something solid, replace the water entirely, then you can dig it out, and the ocean blocks will be able to go to air. But if you just try and drain ocean with the MM, it doesn't work.
