Resolved Uncompletable Challenge Level

On my spawn planet, i found a challenge door! Yay! Unfortunately, this one doesn't seem to work properly.



It looks like the water is supposed balance out and let me swim up, but it's not raising the water level any further.

Water pressure must be having problems. You are correct in assuming it should rise.

Its not Incompleteable, per-se, as blink would allow you to solve it, but alas that doesn't help you now. /admin and beam to ship.

I have encountered this before. Hopefully it is fixed soon.

 

This is why I carry a bunch of climbing rope with me wherever I go. I didn't even notice if that room is broken since I just use the rope to climb to the top instead of waiting for the water.

 

Also ropes or Grappling Hook may help if you stuck.

 

Rope is the answer! Worked perfectly! Didn't want to lose 3K of pixels just to die here...

 

Both the dev team and Quicksilver (who created the challenge room) have been notified about this issue. (See full discussion here http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/stuck-in-challange-room.100766 ).

Like lazarus78 pointed out above, it had to do with a change in how pressure equalizes from water coming in from infinite-water ocean tiles. The room will be redesigned soon, to work with the new mechanics.
