Character Name: Jaye Stabbson (Referred to only as Jaye by his closest relatives, and called Stabbson by all others)

Character Race: Floran

Character General Info: Weighing in at 72 kilograms and standing at a total height of 2 meters, Stabbson, son of Stabb Malson, son of Mal Flameson, is a 'male'* Floran who, like the vast majority of the Floran species, relishes in the Hunt. Stabbson has lived for no longer than 30 human years. It* is a brute in combat, strong as an Okboar, and is serious and analytical. Jaye appears to be silent and mute; it is not common for strangers to hear its voice, and when it is heard, it is with good reason. Stabbson tries not to act inherently evil in the presence of others, owing heavily to a deep pride for all Florans and a desire to not spoil their intergalactic reputation. It has no mate, and although it does not actively seek them, it is open to all kinds of relationships, be it friend, foe, or family.

Character Description: Its putrid-green skin color are the result of many years on its home planet of Kaltar II-I, also known as Ferngrove, the toxic swamp moon of Kaltar II. The orange petals allow it to blend in with the local fauna, allowing for greater stealth during the Hunt. The teal flower above its foliage is an heirloom, passed down from generation to generation, starting all the way back with Smik Noneson, the first Floran to settle on Ferngrove. Each family flower has always been a symbol of the perseverance and loyalty to the Floran species. However, each flower has its own second-meaning. This flower, referred to by the "-son" family as the Ekmatil Hus, meaning the Eternal Hunt, reminds Stabbson of its purpose and duty to preserve the ancient Floran traditions and continue on the -son legacy.


Character Biography: Stabbson has two younger Floran birthmates, Judi and Josa, both assuming the feminine form. As the only masculine offspring of Stabb Malson and Lilith Toeshroom, Jaye has inherited the duty of continuing the -son legacy. Growing up on the increasingly hostile planet of Ferngrove, which is complete with rapidly-evolving creatures and flora, Jaye has been forced to learn to adapt quickly and effectively in order to combat the constantly changing threat from the local wildlife. From a young age, it has received one-on-one private lessons from the village quartermaster during the seasons of the Hunt, funded by Malson's expeditions to the colonies on other worlds in the Kaltar system. In the 'off' seasons, when it was the time of gathering or growing or guarding, the quartermaster was busy with his duties to the village, and Stabb chose to continue Jaye's education himself whenever the quartermaster was unavailable. Stabbson learned much of the ways of the Floran people, and even more about the Hunt. Its siblings were deemed not strong enough to be warriors, and so, traditionally, their main purpose has since been to reproduce with a mate, purely to continue the species. Jaye cared not, for he understood very well the traditions of the Florans, and he had grown to respect them.
During Jaye's 17th Hunting season, Stabb was away from home on the planet of Kaltar IV. In the middle of training, it witnessed, through the vivid treetops above, the ships of Ferngrove depart and sail in the direction of Kaltar IV. This would have worried most Florans, but Jaye was stubborn and had no reason to worry about Stabb. Shortly after, the ships returned, and Stabbson ran to the makeshift spaceport to witness what the reason was behind the sudden departure. It watched in disbelief as a swarm of Florans rushed off the ships, the majority of them wounded. The ones who could walk went home immediately to recover. Those who could not were carried off to the village druid on large leaves that served as stretchers. Jaye fought to find Stabb in the flood of people, but failed. Frustrated and curious of the fate of Stabb, it made its way to Chieftain Palrut. It asked where Stabb was, and the Chieftain replied that it had seen Stabb depart, but not return. This drove Stabbson to ask Lilith if it was permitted to go look for Stabb, torn apart that it may have lost its father. With permission, it accompanied a flight to Kaltar IV in search of more survivors from the unknown incident. Upon arrival, Stabbson quickly discovered what had occurred.
Kaltar IV was a snowy planet, covered in large glaciers and snow piles. There was a thick and biting blizzard present that severely limited visibility. However, it was not impossible for Jaye to analyze the scene. The colony was ablaze, and Stabbson saw countless humanoid figures storm the village, entering homes and slaughtering all in their path, only to return to their large black ship, emblazoned with an emblem resembling an Avian skull over a cross of two Human bones. The emblem seemed to be written in blood. Jaye knew very well what was going on here, as all had heard the stories of the 'space pirates.' The local guards were busy fighting the pirates, and so Jaye decided to do what it had arrived for: to find Stabb. It ventured away from the village where it found a trail of footprints in the snow that led to a small cave. There it found, lit up by the campfire, a group of Florans, trying to hide from the pirates, where he found Stabb. Jaye told them that the village was still under siege and would soon be destroyed, and that currently the only way back to Ferngrove was to fight back to the ship it had arrived on. The small group of 6 Florans approached the village and found that the way to the ship was blocked by a party of pirates. They were forced to fight through the pirate squad. 2 of the Florans had fallen before they could even kill half of the pirates, and another had died as the pirates were killed. The remaining 3 Florans, which included Jaye and Stabb, ran to the ship and found that the crew had been slaughtered. Jaye had no experience of flying, but one of the 3 Florans, young Soarpetal, had flown before. The 3 survivors quickly prepared for takeoff. Before they could fully leave the ground, a single pirate had managed to enter the ship. Soarpetal ignored all distractions and proceeded to take off and head home.
This pirate seemed different than the others; not only was it larger and stronger than the other pirates they had fought, but it was a Floran. It wore the markings of Ferngrove, and there was no doubt in Jaye's mind that this is the cause of the attack, and that this is the one that must have informed the pirates of the colony. Stabb commanded Stabbson to get back and protect Soarpetal. Jaye protected the young pilot as Stabb fought valiantly against the huge Floran pirate. The pirate knew that Jaye was Stabb's son, and so it launched an assault at Jaye. Stabb got in the way, parrying wildly and guarding Jaye. One strike managed slice Stabb's left arm off and Stabb fell over, mortally wounded. Jaye knew that Stabb was done for, and he abandoned his protection of Soarpetal to launch a single swipe at the pirate. The attack was swift and fierce. The pirate's head rolled around on the floor as the body tumbled over.
Stabbson tended to its father. The old Floran had only a few minutes left. It quickly told Jaye of its purpose. Stabbson was instructed to continue Stabb's mission: to continue on the -son legacy. It was told to always show pride and loyalty to the Floran traditions. The Florans continued the last moments of Stabb's life in silence. Upon arriving back at Ferngrove, the two surviving Florans went their separate ways. Stabbson returned to its family to tell them of what had happened. But it was not the same without Stabb. Jaye told its family that it must leave, and that it will return when it has fulfilled its mission of passing on the legacy.
Using the ship it had returned on, Stabbson left Ferngrove alone with nothing in its pockets except a portrait drawn by its youngest birthmate, Josa. It was a vivid and beautiful picture of their family.

-The story of Jaye Stabbson proceeds directly after these events take place, in a Floran spacecraft heading for a random planet in the Alpha sector. It is now time for Stabbson to beam down to the surface of this new world, armed with nothing but the pirate's sword, a handful of seeds, a mysterious and advanced tool, and the portrait of its family.-

*Note: Due to Florans being a unisex species, Stabbson is referred to as an 'it,' rather than a he or she. Keep in mind that Jaye assumes the masculine (as opposed to feminine) form of Floran. Therefore, even though it could be referred to as a he, it will be referred to as having no gender for the sake of technicality.

 

Character Name: Fiane Vetra

Character Race: Floran

Character General Info: 23 year old female. Thinks of animals like we think of plants - that is, they don't feel pain, or at least, don't have a way to convey that they feel pain. Therefore, she will treat animals however she wants. However, unlike most Floran, she doesn't instantly attack the other sentient races - she instead thinks of them as animals compared to the Floran. Therefore, she is very patronising. She thinks of plants on the same level as sentient races, treating them kindly and with some respect. She is constantly laughed at by other Floran, and therefore will avoid them whereever possible.

Character Description: She has orange skin and yellow leaves. She tends to wear standard clothing for florans. There isn't really anything special about her. She has a calming voice, and can get quite high pitched when excited or scared, but normally her voice is quite low. She is slightly shorter than most Floran. For some reason, she blinks a lot and her eyes tend to dart about when she's thinking. She constantly hums tunes.

Character Biography: Fiane, when she was young, was told constant horror stories of the other races by her mother, after her father was 'murdered' by them (That is, he led an attack on them with some other Floran). Instead of making her hate these other races, these stories made her fascinated by them, and she decided she wanted to study them as we study animals. One day, at some point during her teenage life, she witnessed an attack on the Floran by some Humans. She tried to stop the other Florans from killing the human leader, saying that he looked 'nice and friendly if treated well' and that she wanted him as a pet. The human leader was killed however, and from then on, she was known as 'The odd one - you know, the one who wanted one of those things as a pet.' by other Florans. This made the rest of her life until he grew up a living hell, as she was teased and laughed at constantly. As soon as she grew up she escaped into the stars, studying hard so that she could become a floran astronaut, but running away as soon as she got her ship. She is now intending to study the other races by herself, and eventually make a zoo with every other civilised race in the universe inside it.

 

So, what do you guys think of mine? I know it's a mouthful, but I'm always paranoid about things I put lots of time and effort into. It took me 4 hours to type it.

Character Name: R-8GY Unit01

Character Race: Glitch

Character General Info: R-8GY Unit01 is a "male" glitch that is very dedicated to his given objectives. He is a great team-member and loves to help. His attitude would suggest he was once a servant. (Although age is meant to be uncertain, I know now there is an age limit for Glitches in this RP, I would put this character roughly at 12-14 years)

Character Description: R-8GY Unit01 appears as a rather decrepit home-made robot. Parts don't match and metal is bent to keep his parts intact and inside him. He has a little door where the back of his neck meets his head.

Character Biography: R-8GY Unit01 woke one day, like any other day it being his first day awake. He looks at his body as he boots up from a night's rest and finds himself alone. His surroundings suggest he was on a farm that was gone to waste over many years. He cannot determine the time spent as it appears his memories are not being saved when he lays to rest. A ship appeared to have crash landed a few hundred yards from where he woke and over some time was able to get it running. Although he seems to forget whatever experiences he has, most of his functional memory continues to exist allowing him to learn new skills.

He boards the ship one day and takes off into the black unknown of space, hoping to find himself somewhere out there, looking down at a patch on his distressed overalls that reads "R-8GY Unit01" and somewhere inside he is comforted by this only part of himself he feels he knows.




(I didn't give him a nickname because I felt it would be more natural for it to come up in RP and then just go by that afterwards. Also it is mostly why this character has so little information, I wanted to make a character that could be built from the RP not already having so much going on with him. I hope that is understood and it doesn't appear as though I cannot RP)

 

Character Name: Aria Melodi
Character Race: Avian
Character General Info: 6 sweeps old (24 human years) , she loves music
Character Description: red feathered Avian with a small beak, petite posture yet fierce
Character Biography: Aria was growing up in a small village on the moon, it was cold all the time so no much was happening. It was a boring life, the only form of entertainment was music. She was particularly good at it as she was able to soothe the angriest of Avians. Her music had the touch of magic, and it was a pleasant one. She has a dream of meeting other races on her travel around the sectors and learning their ways on music. She's also secretly looking for a possible Romance on her journey as she couldn't find it on her home planet. When she was 5 sweeps old she has left her village and set out for her journey. For a sweep she has traveled, she has heard many songs and learned how to fight. Upon arriving home she has discovered that her village was empty. Therefore she set out again in search of a new Avian home planet, hopefully she'll find one soon to settle down and fulfill her dream of a farm house where she can play her songs as long as he heart desires.

Character Name: John Dent

Character Race: Human

Character General Info: Lone wolf style survivor travels between planets gathering as much fuel as he can in a short time usually one day on the planet. He has a special model ship with a little more space than many other ships. (it's a mod i downloaded is it allowed? If it isn't tell me and I'll try to take it out before making the character) He is a bit of the engineer and tends to spend some of his time on his ship just doing repairs or the usual maintenance, making sure his ship won't break on him. Often wears a jacket and white shirt and baggy jeans that often have holes in the knees.

Character Description: 21 years old, Medium build, blue eyes, Medium length brown hair, slightly tan skin

Character Biography: Born and raised in a small town the only one in that solar system they lived there slowly growing only troubles they had were occasional bandits and the weather not being good for their plants. When he got to the age of 12 he saw a ship a very expensive one since it was custom made, He wanted that ship for when he gets old enough so he started saving up. When he was 15 and almost had enough money and his birthday 3 months away he was doing a delivery job for someone a large package to someone who lived outside the town a few miles away. He was given a cart and started to take the large package out of the town, About half way there he saw a few men in a camp next to the road they stopped him and were claiming to be the men the package was for, I told them i wasn't going to give the package away unless i have proof that your the person who i needed to give it to. One of the men who walked to my right pulled out a pistol and held it to the side of my head and just stood there glaring, the man who claimed the package is his told me to let him have the package willingly or he'll have the man with the gun kill me. I took my hands off the handles to wagon (more like a wheel barrel 2 wheels in the back and handle in the front for the person to carry) and slowly raised them trying to get a good look at most of them carefully, the man in front of me looked at the one with the gun and nodded, instead of shooting me he took the gun away from my head and hit me in the head with it knocking me out. When i woke up it was sunset i looked where the camp was groggily and all i saw was the smolders of a camp fire i looked around remembering all that happened and didn't see anyone and i didn't see the cart. I got up from the ground a little dizzy and turned around to head on his way home and noticed he hadn't lost anything but the little money he had on him he was grateful for that and continued on his way home. On his walk he looked up at and he saw a pillar of smoke rising from the direction of his home, he stopped there for a few seconds and then continued except running as fast as he could. When he got to the top of the hill the smoke was blowing his direction and started to make his eyes sting, when he looked down all he saw was smoke and fire rising from the homes and crowd of torches running off after the survivors fleeing the town. He then started running again but much slower since he was tired from the previous run and he started to inhale the smoke. He caught up to them but stayed behind hidden in the over growth of the forest they were in, he then started to go around them but one of them spotted him and called him out. He then got up and sprinted past them to head to the station and to find his family which he was hoping was there. He got there panting and held up by the guards on the wall and he called out to them to let him in warning them that the men were on their way for an attack here, they let him in and told him to look for someone he knew. He then started to jog around looking for his family, but when he did he only found his brother sitting against a wall with his head in his hands. He ran up to him and asked where their mother and father is but all he said was at home. He then got his brother to get up and told him that they were getting out of the station and leaving the planet, neither of them had the money to buy a flight out they both knew that but his brother knew what he meant to do. They walked into the station building casually and took a turn and went out into the back where the civilian ships are parked only 6 remained of the hundreds there usual y were, they both ran to a ship his brother getting in a different one and closing it up before he get on. His brother took off and that alerted the guards so he ran straight to the next ship and started it up closing the back and flying off while guards started to shoot at the ship.

Character Race: Glitch
Character General Info: E_DE Mk 2 was created for the purpose of private security but was the only one manufactured for financial reasons. He is very dangerous and will do about any thing to get what he wants. He is very intelligent because of his technology he was built out of.
Character Description: He has a copper steampunk look with red beaming eyes and a brain at the top of his head. He was made two years ago, He likes wearing no clothes because it covers his creaters craftsmanship but will wear armor when needed, he is very greedy and bad natured and hates the Apex. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and have fun doing it.
Character Biography: He was made on a moon manufacturing base and while he was being transferred to a testing facility with his creator but were raided by a group of Apex who kidnapped his master and shipped him off to a work camp. Over come with grief he is currently looking for his master and won't stop till he finds him (why he hates the Apex)

Race: Hylotl
Info (edited): 23 yrs old, trained in combat. He is a skilled swordsman, and the son of a planetary Shogun. He is brave, but not stupid. He values honor and family/friends above all. Will avoid a fight if possible, but will not hesitate to kill if necessary. Has extreme hatred towards bandits, cutthroats, and the like.
Description (edited): Light-blue skin with green fins and chest. Dorsal fin resembling that of a shark's tail. Quite young-looking, but not childlike. Average height and and strong (but not too much so) physique. Has fairly noticeable burn marks on his chest, right arm, and feet.
Bio (edited): Born to a powerful shogun, Araumi spent most of his childhood learning the etiquette of a power-holder. He spent his free time training in swordplay and admiring the view from his home on a mountain, dreaming of the day when that land was his. However, these dreams were crushed the night a group of bandits decided to rob his household. Araumi ( who was 15 at the time) narrowly escaped with his life, but suffered from major burns. All of his family members and everyone else in the house was killed, either by the fire that destroyed the house or the bandits themselves. After surviving on his own in the wilderness for about seven years, he found a broken down Hylotl spacecraft. With the few engineering skills he had learned as a child, Araumi repaired the ship and left his home planet, trying to leave behind the terrifying memories of his family's destruction.
