this was my background of my character "He had a hard life with his family in 2084, his parents we're never nice and always civil, he had siblings, and he seemed to be the minor priority of the family" did i miss something?

EDIT: Sorry for the long post! I tend to go all-out with my stories. I do hope this doesn't ruin my chances of getting in! And to those who enjoyed reading Ray's story down below, thank you! I didn't proof-read it or anything so apologies if I got something wrong!

    Character Name: Ray Batidae

    Character Race: Apex

Character General Info: 21 human years of age, but young as a child at heart. He is inexperienced in the world outside of his home and as such is afraid of many things. While the dark scares him little, he has never seen much wildlife besides the little fly-roaches that infest his old home. Everything seems new to him, and while he is afraid, he is determined to make sure his losses aren't for nothing.

Character Description: He is a young Apex, with a massive mane of red hair around his head and red hair covering most of his body. Thin and almost impoverished-looking as he used to live in the poorer parts of the Apex capital. He has sparkling black eyes, much like his mother's.

    Character Biography:

Ray rarely ventured outside of the impoverished sectors of the Apex capital. His father told him it was just too dangerous for them "poor folk". Almost weekly, his father reminded him of how his mother was taken away from them when Ray was little, taken against her will to a laboratory far away. Ray never knew why she was taken, nor can he remember what she looked like (there were no pictures of her around the house as they were too poor to afford a camera.). Sometimes, his father would stare at his eyes, saying that Ray's eyes reminded him of his mother, similar as they are.

Every month, Apex guards from outside the sector march in to take some people away. Ray never saw those people ever again. However, as Ray grew, his curiosity to see what was going on in the world outside of this sector of shacks and tents grew steadily, until one day, he sneaked outside of the sector's borders. There, he saw skylines made of glass and steel, and Apex wearing incredible clothing. He wanted to be one of them, to leave the poor sector behind completely and have a good life with his father. Just then, Apex guards surrounded him. Scared, Ray slipped past them and ran back into the poor sector. He found his father worried at their home. His father said nothing for that entire day. As the Sun went down, his father told him to go to sleep. It was strange; he was never asked to sleep this early. Still shaken by what happened before, Ray agreed and cuddled up in his bed.

Ray woke up in the middle of the night, awoken by the door crashing down. His father was nowhere to be seen. Instead, a female Apex, dressed in black with a scarf hiding her face, lifted him to his feet, telling him to follow her. "They're coming to take you!" She told Ray. "You have to leave now!" Ray wanted to know where his father was, and as they ran through the alleyways between shacks, she told him that he was taking part in the Apex rebellion to take down the Miniknog and end its tyranny. Ray wanted to join him, but shouts from behind them told him that the guards were close. Ray wanted to ask what she meant when the were coming to take him. Then he remembered all those people that disappeared when guards come for them. He followed her past the sector border, through some roads in the richer sector and finally to the top of a building, where a spaceship was waiting, ready to go.

"You should wait here. Your father is on his way." The mysterious rebel woman told Ray. As she said it, a blast shook the building. Another rebel appeared from the stairs, shouting, " Get the ship going! The rebel base is falling!"
With that, the rebel woman pushed Ray into the ship and shut the ship doors. "Sorry, Ray. You have to go! You will do great things! Your father thinks so! Now go! GO!"
The rebel woman pressed some dials on her remote device that set the ship to autopilot. The ship ascended and as it went up, Ray saw the building go down completely.

It has been weeks since Ray left the Apex home planet, and while he managed to learn how to control the ship while going through the manuals he found in the cockpit, he didn't trust any planet to stop at... until he ran out of fuel. Now, he sits in this spaceship, stuck over a strange planet, alone and afraid. A message appeared in his logs, confirming that the rebellion has been crushed and that he is now the last surviving Apex related to the rebellion. He can never go back to the Miniknog. He doesn't know if his father is still alive. He sat there, and cried to himself.

No. He had to pull himself together. There was a reason why he was given this chance to escape the Miniknog. He had to live for the sake of the rebellion, for his father. He picked himself up, collected whatever supplies he could find in the spaceship and stood on the beaming pedestal. He's never done this before. He felt afraid, but he felt determined as well. He braced himself and beamed down.

  13. Spoccifi

    Spoccifi Void-Bound Voyager

    Character Name: Teleostei Mancuso
    Character Race: Hylotl
Character General Info: Teleostei is best described as cold, uncaring, cynical, and occasionally a medical prodigy.
Character Description: Standing slightly taller than his odd-fifty spawn-mates, Teleostei was always oddly lanky for his lineage, coming from ages of stocky, medium-height Hylotls. He never lost his slight height advantage, even into his early 30's. Teleostei is also well-versed in small weapons, but is usually too weak to use a larger armament appropriately.
Character Biography: Teleostei Mancuso is a man of many words. Most of these, however, are insults or condescending remarks. There may be times where Teleostei would honestly commend you for a job well done, but the next time you show up in the medical ward, he's there, wrapping you up and calling you names. He is, of course, much more amiable to people he sees as peers or, rarely, superior to himself. He had warranted some attention as a young boy, able to accurately draw out the skeletons of six races from memory, as well as all named muscles and organs. By the time he was a young man, he had already saved countless lives, making breakthrough after breakthrough in the field of medicine, preforming perilous operations with ease and with a slight happiness with the incisions, occasionally forgetting to use anesthetic and silently laughing to himself. He was promptly thrown out of his previously-forgiving Hylotl home after one-too-many 'failed' Operations. With nothing more to his name than a dinky passenger craft and his Lab Coat, he decided that the universe would be grateful for his wandering acts of medical perfection. The Universe, astoundingly, did not enjoy his work to the point of near-exile from almost any village he found. His work had always been immaculate, they just didn't much enjoy the obviously dangerous man operating on their loved ones. After finding out that no one will hire a doctor with fresh blood on his hands, and drifting for what seemed to be an eternity, he stumbled upon a system apparently teeming with exploration and trade. After looking into it slightly, having had his fair deal of run-ins with Cultists and the like, he deemed it worthy of his presence.

  16. Robotacus

    Robotacus Space Hobo

Character Name: Robotacus -also announced as Quad B (Blackened Bloody Blade Bot)
    Character Race: Glitch
Character General Info: In spite of Robotacus' self awareness, he is still a Glitch and finds it hard to break away from an organized and logical perspective. As such, much like one might establish a programs parameters, countless fights in the gladiatorial area and his life as a captive have encoded three "laws"that serve as the basis of his personality.
    1. Be Victorious!- Reality is not a nice place to habitual losers, and the crowd loves a winner.
    2. Have a Plan- There are only two rules of tactics: never be without a plan, and never rely on it.
    3. Act with Honor- Even a bot with nothing but the bolts in his back can still have his honor. To conduct oneself with honor in the face of adversity is what separates the good from the Great.

Character Description: Robotacus' torso and faceplate are both black while his head mimics a galea with a golden plume. His chassis bears the the dings and nicks one would expect of his long career although as he rarely sheds his armor -which he prefers to be thick and able to weather hard blows rather than caring much for speed or mobility- they more often than not go unnoticed. His eye lights are a piercing red that some claimed to have notice grow more and more like the color of blood with each bloody victory.

Character Biography: The first thing Robotacus can dredge up from his memory bank is a sword being thrust into his hand and a push from behind out of the darkness of an entry-way tunnel into the dazzling light of the area. His first battle was not the most memorable, he did not rise above the other junior gladiators as they fought some savage alien beasts to whet crowd before the real fights began, but he survived. Many cycles and many close calls later and the eve of his one-hundredth and one match as a grand gladiator was upon him. With little pomp and less circumstance he walked out onto the now familiar sands to a hush crowd. One hundred and one wins, the dream of every man, woman, or bot to live and die in the arena had fought in hopes of that 101st win which earned them their freedom and a ship to take them wherever their newly free feet wished to tread. Only a handful had manged it, Rakort The Mobile Mountain, Ghastly Gale, or Murderous May, the kind of fighter both strong AND lucky enough to make it to the top. In truth it wasn't the best match, or hardest he'd ever fought, but the roars and stomps of the stands Robotacus' blade was true that day. Even the fact that his "new" ship is little more than a pile of junk, and in spite of the he'd been made in a gladiator bot and known nothing else his whole life, something about this new freedom still just felt... right. So with little tying him down, and a thirst to see what lays beyond his former existstance, Robertacus now takes to the stars in search of a new challenges to test him and just maybe a chance at finding something else to life.

Damn, maybe they should lock the thread until the server is up and working for a good 24 hours without issues or something :D
Amazing how popular it became, but i can see them being swamped by applications and sending mass PM's and stuff.
I just hope they can deal with it :)

  19. Farrem

    Farrem Void-Bound Voyager

    Character Name: John Allen Dared

    Character Race: Human

Character General Info: He is roughly 38 years old, is a former mercenary for a small private company, rather confident personality, pretty secretive, currently unemployed (Until I find a job in the RP), rather sadistic humor when bored, very open to meet people from other species.

Character Description: (Don't judge my formatting, I use it all the time) Dark brown hair | Rather pale skin | Heavy Germanic Accent | Small scars on face | Short hair | Dark brown eyes | Small stubble | About 5"8 |

Character Biography: The events leading up to his employment were rather normal, going to school in a small settlement on a small Arid planet, helping out with keeping the colony alive, that sort of stuff, but once he went to get employed his eyes caught a small mercenary business that was in need of some people to hire. Jumping at the chance and going through the tests easily, he was given his first assignment with a small but wealthy Avian looking for a new home. After arriving on their ship things went normal, for the first three days, if you call being in a ship filled with feathers and smells like complete ❤❤❤❤.
Once they arrived at the planet that they wanted to call home, they all jumped him and decided to use him as a sacrifice for their god of some sorts. One night while being unattended he quickly found a rock to break through the weak lock they had placed onto the door, quickly taking a small amount of food and a weapon, he went a few days unscathed until he luckily found an abandoned settlement. It seemed like the inhabitants were Apex and left in a hurry, since they left most of their supplies, such as food water and tools.
The prize of this cache he had found however was a ship, and it was heavily damaged and seemed to be of a human design, stolen vessel no doubt. So he spent the next month repairing the ship using spare parts and looking at the schematics of the ship to see what was truly missing, while working on the ship at night, he had heard footsteps coming towards him, given away by the sharp crackles of the sticks and leaves.
He hurried over to the entrance to the ship, closed it, and took off hearing a few thuds on the hull as he went up, sadly the fuel tank was leaked so he made a last ditch effort to at least get away from that planet, never wanting to see it again, deleting the planetary coordinates from his ship's directory, after a few hours the fuel finally cut out, scared to open the fuel compartment in case of death by vacuum, he decided to wait.
He waited for three months in that ship. Little power. No fuel. No contact.
    Alone.
    He finally was caught in the orbit of the planet he was found at, still rather intact mentally, and once he finally repaired the communications array on his ship, he contacted the company he worked for and said very boldly to them;
    "I quit."
Nothing building up to it, just a swift and melodramatic small sentence, right after that was said, he cut communications and went to explore.

*Edited because of silly typos and run-on sentencing.*

  20. Khellus

    Khellus Space Hobo

    Character Name: Khellus Alucard

    Character Race: Human

Character General Info: At 22 years old, Khellus was a member of the IMF( Interplanetary Marine Force). Enlisting immediately out of school, he took to the stars with other troops wishing to leave their planetary Alcatraz. Finishing his term of 4 years he was granted his final pay, and with it the ticket to his own ship and freedom after his successful investments.

Character Description: Dark Chestnut hair, A small stocky figure standing at 5'5", a clean shave, short cropped haircut, black eyes, and a pearly white smile being his only redeeming feature

Character Biography: Spending his life in a rather cramped duplex planetside attending public schools, Khellus' life was rather bleak and uneventful. 4 Siblings, a Dad and a Stepmom, and a small room to call his own. Day to day work and activities were so meager and unfulfulling as he sat up late at night looking out the window at the stars. Getting closer and closer to his graduation from school, an Idea he never would have dreamed finally planted a seed of adventure into his thoughts. Growing day in and day out as the hours, minutes, and seconds passed, the proverbial water to his garden. Hats flew, paper was handed out, and smiles were shared, but with a quick step, he left. Simply walking into a small office manned by two individuals clad in pristine black uniforms with close cropped hair and clean shaves, save a mustache on one of the men. He asked a simple and precise question.
    "Where do I sign up?"
Looking between themselves the two black-clad officers smiled and helped him through the intrepid labyrinth of signatures and initials.

    A Single decision,
    Four Years,
    hundreds of investments,
    and with a little luck,
    A Lifetime of Adventure.

He took his small ship to the stars.... To his dreams..
