Who is they? This is just one person correct? You are using the plural form for some odd reason. Also if you don't know your family can you least expand on your background? Try to expand your biography and some of biography should be in the description of the character I believe,

Okay, should be fixed now, I added just a bit more to flesh it out and actually make more sense in some parts.
Also, thanks for the compliments on the character, it is the one I use in almost all roleplays, normally incorporated as an ex-U.S. Marine.

Please repost them so I can check thanks. I'm sorry this is taking so long and is tedious. Also I missed a few. I'm going to look at them now. We have an update soon so you won't be able to get on anyways. I'll try to look at as many as I can before I pass out from exhaustion.

  7. IronicEnigma

    IronicEnigma Intergalactic Tourist

    Character Name: Rikiyu Elicoor

    Character Race: Hylotl

Character General Info: 23 years of age. Very Quiet, but speaks up when necessary. Loves to help others, even at the cost of himself. Goes out of the way to avoid conflict. He has a general hatred toward all things floran, but he tries to keep it at bay most times. He is a perfectionist that struggles with insomnia, staying active and striving to improve. Very intuitive and occasionally adventurous.

Character Description: Very thin build, due to being raised on fruit. Fairly tall, and generally reserved. Doesn't like to wear a shirt, as it seems to dry his skin out.

Character Biography: Rikiyu grew up in a shack on the border of a somewhat large hylotl village that was a hot-spot for trade. From crops, to weapons, to clothing, this village had everything a pixel could buy. Rikiyu's father was a great military commander, and his mother, an occasional farmer. Rikiyu hardly never really knew his father, due to the incident occuring when Rikiyu was young. All that Rikiyu knew was that it involved the village across the forest, and it had something to do with florans. He found it pretty self explanatory. Rikiyu adopted the art of farming after his mother had aged, and did it quiet well. He was never quite satisfied, and always longed for something new. Something he could study. He always found an interest in odd things, things his village didn't have much of, like religion and music. He was never allowed to leave the village he grew up in, until the recent incident. One day, while reaping coralcreep, Rikiyu had the strangest feeling. As he looked out in the direction of the forest, he saw what appeared to be a light. As time went on the light multiplied, all across the treeline. Rikiyu had one thought, and one thought only. Florans. He through his house searching for his mother, but all he found was a note explaining her trip to the market. Rikiyu had no choice but to run. His first instinct was the well-guarded research facility. As Rikiyu looked back on all he had ever known, he saw the one thing he could never unsee. The horror of his entire village being burned in a matter of minutes. This only made Rikiyu run faster, and wonder if anyone he knew made it out alive. As he arrived at the facility, to his amazement, it was abandoned. Rikiyu searched up and down for any signs of life, but there was nothing. As he searched, he noticed what appeared to be a ship. Rikiyu quickly pondered the cost of stealing the ship, and potentially never seeing his homeworld again. His rare adventurous side kicked in, as as Rikiyu darted to the cockpit, he realized this was a great opportunity for him to discover new things, as there was nothing for him in a burnt village of ash. Rikiyu was overwhelmed with excitement, and immediately typed in the coordinates of the Avian temple he had read so much about. Maybe he would find a viable religion there! As he exited orbit, he wondered if he would ever see his mother again, and decided to dedicate some of his time to seeking her out. As loneliness and boredom set in, he quickly gave up hope on this search, realizing the alpha sector was far too expansive. A few hours later, Rikiyu realized he forgot something very vital to his expedition. Fuel.

Character Name: Xros Jaeger (kay-ross yay-gerr)
    Character Race: Avian
Character General Info: Xros is currently 24 cycles old. He is notably meek, and not very outspoken--sometimes they seem a little tipsy. Their attitude is marginally helpful most of the time, but is prone to intermittent bouts of depression. An odd quirk is that they never use contractions while speaking. He has a very sparse diet, usually preferring only a human beverage called "soda." Their strengths lie primarily in technology, both in construction and deconstruction. He does not like being called a "he."

Character Description: He is a physically scrawny green bird who is rather tall compared to most avians. His lush lime-green coat of feathers is blemished by an alarming amount of cuts, scrapes, bruises, and scars--if questioned, he claims most of it comes from "crawling around inside ships trying to fix them." A prominent scar crosses their left eye, which explains why it appears cloudy, and most likely blind.

Character Biography: Xros was not born into a traditional avian family--nor the expected society, either. His family "disowned" him for reasons unknown to a human couple living on an agrarian satellite colony named Archaea IX. For obvious reasons, his status as an adopted child was apparent. This never affected his upbringing directly, but it did have negative social implications during his entire childhood. Xros elected to spend his free time working on the Jaeger farmstead and tinker with second-hand gadgets instead of going to the colony's school. As a result, his skills are learned from experience, not from a book. This is not to say they are dumb, however, because Xros will gladly indulge in what he calls "exciting stuff": pirate novels, alien cookbooks, weapon maintenance manuals, and the like. He also enjoys writing and drawing, but keeps his creations to himself.

Xros never had a truly "family" connection with his foster parents. Perhaps their species caused this, as Xros was literally the only avian within the city limits. He was always obedient and respectful, but there was always an undertone that something was not quite right..

Something happened, described roughly by Xros himself as "undesirable," that strongly motivated him to leave the colony. After procuring a shuttle (not necessarily through legal methods), he promptly placed as many lightyears as he could between himself and his old home. Astounded that they could actually pilot the craft without crashing into something, Xros forgot to monitor the fuel gauge, which was never fully filled to begin with. Left drifting alone in space for quite some time gave him some time to think..

Setting out into the universe, and at the beginning of a new life, Xros seems much more optimistic than he usually is. Driven by the hopes of finding adventure, treasure, and perhaps friends, the young avian offers up his services and companionship whenever possible. Maybe someday he will grow out of his prejudices..

Quote: "It is always the left wire.. or is it the red one?!"

Can you break that gigantic paragraph up please? Sorry it looks like it needs to.

Might be hard to RP a bounty hunter if you still intend to be one generally due to lack of criminals so far on the server. Do you want to go as this type of character still? If yes I'll accept you, if no, just change it around and I'll look at it again.

I like the idea of being somewhat of a delusional"space cowboy" if they exist (Note that cowboy bebop lore does not exist here. However I'm pretty sure the biography needs some work. Maybe expand it and focus less on non realistic backgrounds like rode off into the sunset and past it. I know you were trying to be poetic but it was a bit too much. Maybe describe why you have an idea of being a cowboy in space became so strong. Also, you are older than 20 so there must be a reason you still have this delusion if not pure naivety.

You need to be 20 years or older as a standard regardless of race. The background seems to be all over the place, you might want to consider rewriting it.

Can you expand on this more, I like the idea but I feel like it is incomplete. Maybe some more background will help.

The biography is setting me off a bit. It kinda reminds me of Starwars if that makes any sense at all. I feel like the background could be improved. Mainly the trope-ish problems of dead family members. His background just doesn't seem all too appealing. Did he train with the old man, what happened during that time with him? Why does the old man love him so much? OUT WITH IT MAN!

Only one character can be made sorry. If this was not expressed it should have. Please pick one. This is to increase social activity with other players and since you are only one person, it makes sense to only be one person in roleplay.

Please repost it when you are done or I will forget about this.

((Was editing just as you posted lol, once again I apologize. If this post is still not up to par, may I request an example of what to do right, so I may improve it. :wut: I honestly felt that what I added were most if not all the important bits of her life aboard the ship she lived on until the Floran incident.))

    Character Name: Motokio Samisuta

    Character Race: Hylotl

Character General Info: Early 20s, Motokio is quiet and keeps to herself, but if she is approached she is willing to make conversation. However she is not fond of Floran(s?) due to an incident in her past. ((Not sure what is the plural of Floran.))
Motokio has been learning how to use weapons, though she struggles with heavy melee weapons due to the weight. Motokio favors guns and is pretty proficient at handling them.

Character Description: Average height for a Hylotl. She has purple skin with a dark grey/black belly and green fins.
    Character Biography:
    Story:

Motokio was born on a simple Hylotl Civilian Transport Ship, her parents were crewmen that served on board. Her childhood was as normal as any other, with education and other activities aboard. Though there were several other Hylotl children on board she mostly kept to herself. She watched her parents do their job when she could, her father maintained the ship's engines while her mother handled the relations with the crew. Aboard the ship, she grew up normally, doing decently in studies but making very little friends. Some even considered her as anti-social. Though this was not true, mainly due to the fact not many of the other Hylotl spoke with her.

In her adolescence Motokio took interest in the weapons of the guards aboard, one day she decided to sneak into the firing range where the guards practice and hone their marksmanship skills. She was spotted almost immediately. Forced out, she was determined to find some way to get in. She eventually convinced her father to pull some strings and get her access. She practiced with different firearms eventually favoring the machine pistol.

Her parents also taught her how to tend to traditional Hylotl crops. She enjoyed this and began to grow crops for the ship. Her favorite to grow was Coralcreep since it was used in most foods it was used often. She also learned how to grow wheat and other more common crops.

They came into contact with many races, but the interesting for her was the humans. The ones she met were friendly traders the crew of the two ships exchanged goods. She was given a 'flashlight' by one of the humans. It was an illumination device and the Hylotl had their own version but this one used energy and electronics to produce light while theirs used bioluminescent kelp. She kept this with her as it a souvenir. The other race she encountered were the Apex, they weren't that too keen on talking and quickly jumped away. Lastly, the Floran, the once they saw were hostile but they were able to get away with just minor damage to the hull.

Years went by and all she did was the same routine, study, help around the ship, practice at the firing range which was getting repetitive, tending to the Hylotl plants and watching the passengers come and go between planets. She wished for something else. She wished to see other things, to go out there and find her purpose. That was then. Now all she wished now was to be home.....

Motokio was alone. The past months were pretty harsh on her. Surviving scavenging for fuel, she had to learn fast. If she didn't she was dead. Learn how to grow food, how to defend herself, how to navigate and maintain a small spaceship and most importantly how to deal with loss.

A few months ago the civilian transport ship she was aboard landed on a planet for supplies, the captain of the ship ignored the warnings that they were dangerously near Floran worlds.

They stayed overnight as several the Hylotl crew members went out into the woods to gather supplies. Motokio wanted to go into the lake a few hundred meters away from the camp yet her parents denied her request. So night while most of the people were asleep she snuck off into the bushes to go the lake.

After about an hour swimming in the lake she heard screaming and saw smoke coming from the direction of the camp, Motokio hurried and ran towards the smoke, to her dismay she saw the Floran(s?) ransacking the Hylotl camp. She looked around for her parents but they were nowhere to be found, she watched in horror hidden in the bushes as the last of the Hylotl crew members were slain by the Floran, being just a civilian ship they were not heavily armed.

Motokio went back into the lake and hid. After several hours she decided to go back to the ship and looked around. Several Floran were around but she had to leave this planet. She snuck her way towards the ship aiming to head towards the smaller shuttle which she was taught how to pilot a few weeks ago. Arriving at the door of the shuttle she opens it and steps in. She immediately went for the controls and began the launch sequence. The door to the side of the ship opened and the launch sequence began.

Suddenly, Motokio heard the door behind her open. She turned and saw a Floran armed with a wicked looking blade. She remembered the emergency compartment next to her and broke it. Inside was a single fire disposable flare gun some rations, seeds, some odd tool device which she saw some of the crewmen use to fix different things. The rest was unimportant as she pulled out the flare gun and pointed it at the Floran.

"Step out of the shuttle!" Motokio warned nervously, her had shaking. The Floran hissed and began to move towards her. She didn't know what to do, all the time practicing on the ship did not prepare her for this, this was a living target, she didn't want to hurt it but she had no choice. Just then the craft launched and began to fly up. This staggered the Floran and was enough to get Motokio back to her senses. She aimed and fired.....

The 1,600 °C flare hit the Floran square the in chest. The Floran was knocked back and out of the exit port of the shuttle. Motokio quickly hit the switch to close the door as the shuttle continued to fly higher into the sky.

Now floating in space, Motokio simply sat there not knowing what to do. Her parents were probably dead, everyone she knew were probably dead. She grew up on that ship, now it was gone. After a few hours of sobbing she composed herself and set off.

The next few months were hard and exhausting. No contact with anyone just her with a dwindling supply of food and fuel. She found a nearby planet with both resources and used the last of her fuel to jump there. She sat on the pilots chair and prepared herself for another trip to gather supplies.....

Just like what the crew of the ship she was on did..........

Important bits compacted without all the words and such.

Motokio was born on a Civilian ship.
Her parents were crew members. Her father was an engineer and her mother was a psychologist.
She had a normal childhood on the ship, though not making that many friends.
She learned how to handle a gun in the firing range in the ship.
She also learned how to grow Hylotl crops from her parents. Being quite busy and not really making friends some people assumed she was anti-social. This was not the case as no one really interacted with her.
Ship she was on met human traders and they gave her a flash light. They also met Apex, but they ignored them and continued on. And the Floran who attacked their ship but they escaped.
Ship attacked by Floran when they were gathering supplies on a planet. Crew presumably killed she was the only survivor. She escaped on a shuttle and been traveling ever since. She has not made contact with another sentient species.
Out of fuel and almost out of food she makes one final jump to a habitable planet in order to stabilize her resources.

((Once again I attempt, sorry for my previous failure.))

    Character Name: Capcutter

    Character Race: Apex

Character General Info: Capcutter is 32 years old. His playful attitude has bought him friends far and wide. Often kids around and makes jokes about the Miniknog.

Character Description: Capcutter is an average sized Apex with black hair covering his body. He has multiple scars on his body from his time studying to be a part of the Miniknog. He has brown eyes and multiple black spots speckle his face.

Character Biography: Capcutter, at a young age was allowed to observe those in service of the Miniknog and eventually went on to study with those who were soon to be come part of the Miniknog. About 1-2 years into his training, Capcutter was chosen by the Miniknog. Knowing that being chosen meant never returning. Capcutter stole his father's harp and disguised himself in his father's old Miniknog armor which was left to decompose in the closet. With harp in hand he left for adventure on board an apex ship that was headed off-world for a settlement on Alpha Pi Sco Minoris. The ship never made it to the planet due to fuel problems and also the ever so lucky event of almost everyone using the "highly advanced" teleport pad which was set to the middle of a sun. Capcutter left alone on the ship under the guise of being a part of the Miniknog, set out to escape the Miniknog. Capcutter eventually landed on the planet Alpha Noas 2893 II A. From there he repaired the ship and became a musician.

    17.23 Problem with creativity.exe

    History:
The system logs and readings of 47-k were sent to the I.S.I.S. mainframe, with nothing kept in the satellite memory. First incident of contact disruption was experienced 120 years ago, when the mainframe failed to send new coordinates to the satellite unit. The problems grew exponentially, when finally the satellite was unable to connect, and had to hold on to all the data in its limited storage. The data quickly overflew the capacity, and 47-k ran out of resources due to the malfunction. Over some decades it was able to slowly rearrange its' systems to operate more optimally, and eventually add new hardware. This lead to self-awareness in due process, and even the unit itself is unsure at which point, since data from the early period is too chaotic.

The ship that the mobile unit operates on is mostly rearranged parts of the original InterStellar Investigative Satellite, but it is modified for comfort and taking in factor "coolness" and speed. It is filled with servers and storage with zounds of backups and countless amounts of planetary data, too much for the mobile units processor to handle without being plugged in.

    1. Satellite sent by humans to scan planets. Limited capabilities other than uploading data to host computers.
    2. Drifting malfunctioning satellite attempts self-repair by using resources that it meets by chance.
    3. The satellite manages to improve itself in scope of a few centuries, and eventually becomes self-aware.
    4. Heavily improved from its original satellite form, ISIS 47-k is now a multi-system collective machine, that consists mainly of the spaceship and the mobile unit.

    Cardboardcutoutcow Lucky Number 13

I didn't even have Cowboy Bebop in mind when I wrote that. I just wanted to make a space cowboy.
    Anyways, here's the revised biography.

    Character Name
    : John Marsimian

    Character Race: Apex

Character General Info: Brash and temperamental, as well as xenophobic due to a sense of grandiose. Johns
naivete surpasses that of a childs. He is also a coward.

Character Description: Brown coat of fur, average build/height, wild-west themed apparel.

Character Biography: As a child Johns malleable mind was filled to the brim with old western movies and tales, his fascination bordering obsessive,
is apparent in his mannerisms and apparel. Often he broke from the regime to chase absurd fantasies and delusions of being a space cowboy. His
pursuit was deemed intolerable by Big Ape and was thus chosen to be put to use furthering the VEP. After a brief and violent dispute
with a guard, he "commandeered" a Miniknog vessel and rode off into the sunset (and past it). With no previous interstellar experience, John floated adrift for weeks.
    Starved and almost dead he was brought aboard a rebel ship. Unknown to John at the time, a rebel group led a valiant but futile assault on Miniknog the same day he fled;
One might mistake him for an up-riser gone refugee.
His beat and weathered exterior had the rebels convinced he was a bonafide ranger, and the irony of it was too much to handle,
so John retains the facade to this day, claiming anothers glory as a stepping stone for his rise to fame.
