Character Race: Floran
Personality: Aria is a generally blunt and straightforward. Despite her moreso submissive appearance and overall conservative looking demeanor, She tends to speak her mind and makes sure she is never left caged or in a corner due her boastful or braggart nature. She is mostly passive generally and only aggressive with her tongue however will tend to not say anything if she deems the other person to be aggressive. She is quite analytic and generally uses her brain rather than brawn in most situations. Her interests mostly focus on exploration and discovery and will tend to work towards understanding cultures. Due to a somewhat sheltered life, she is not very good at speaking to people and can come off to be rude or ignorant, most of her information about anything comes from a book in general. She tends to engoy light and sunlight and go quickly asleep during the night.
Character Description: Aria is about 4 feet and 10 inches tall. Despite her age which is roughly around 30, she appears to look around her young 20s. She has green leafs coming from her head and her skin is fairly light. She is about average, not strong but not weak but at least looks like she is in shape. Character Biography: Aria is not her real name, it is a name she gave herself after reading countless books. The city in which she was raised gave much to her. A prodigy, a gift from the heavens... this is what she thought of herself, thus Aria, a solo singer with music seemed like the best name to give herself. To further the understanding of other societies as well as floran societies outside of their plenet, Aria was sent to research and record much of what she sees and report her findings when she was finished. Without hesitation she accepted the task... however, she will soon find out that much tedious manual labor will be in store for her.

Character Name: Almador Shaaman

Character General Info:
Almador, a 23 year old Avian is a mean looking bird, yet he has little to no reason to fight with anybody. Yet his weaker body is not to be decisive by. Thanks to his quick thinking and strategic mind, he can get himself out of a lot of trouble. He lacks strength, but is rather good with agility.
Almador's downfall comes form his sharp tough when interacting with strangers. He knows very well of his abilities, yet he will still stand his ground.
Being banished from his home by Kluex left him wonder about everything that didn't have an explanation. Thus his fondness for science and the like is born. He is fascinated by the Apex and their technology. Also, he has an eye to point out the stunning beauty of the world.

Character Description:
Brown feathers and an Eagles beak characterize Almador. But his more stunning features are his two dark brows feathers over his eyes, which makes him look a lot older than he really is.

Character Biography:
When he was young, Almador lived in a small forest side cabin with his father. Back then, he and his father had a shrine for Kluex built by hand to show their gratitude towards Kluex, who Almador now referes to as "The Past" in his own thoughts.
He was not clipped of his wings because he didn't have anything to take away. When he was old enough to start to learn flying, his father noticed something wrong. Almadors wings were too weak to fly. As the council of Kluex learned about this, they started to look for Almador and his father because they saw Almador as him not being worthy to live.
They thought that his wings showed his denial of Kluex and that he was not worthy to be under the wing of the great God. Almador and his father bearly escaped to the "Kluexes Light", the old family spacecraft. In a rush, the father and Almador quickly flew to an unknown planet. But Almador's father had a fatal wound. Before his death, he clipped Almador of his small, weak wings as he said: "This will keep you safe and prevent you from drawing to much attention to yourself. I want you to stay safe... Almador, I am so happy, that you were the one I was blessed with. Thank you and i will always love you....".
As Almadors father faded away, he found himself stuck on a unknown planet. He buried his father and sought out to find Kluex and end him, if he was even real. But he didn't rename the "Kluexes Light" in memory of his father.

 

Hello guys , I am a little bit new to starbound and its lore so I decided to make char that I would like and that doesn't require much in-lore or simply "has his own lore in his head".
Character Name: Archer Fourth (or so he claims)
Character Race: Glitch Human
Character General Info: Sir Archer Fourth is a glitch that doesn't differ much from other free-will glitches aside from him going abit crazy... Most notable thing is that he thinks he is human , while maintaining somewhat robotic personality and he actively denies any arguments about him being a robot. ("Metal can am I you say? My relationship towards you...changed to...not trustworthy ").Other than that he is pretty friendly and he always tries to "Look and live like his fellow humans" , but the point is that most of information he knows about humans is from some old half-destroyed magazines he found in ruins of planet. He is usually found giving humans tips on what they should do , making attempts to trade with them ("common human activity") and arguing with other glitches that they are nothing alike.
Character Description: Typical "bold" glitch , painted black , yellow eyes , usually wearing bring green or blue shirt with bright pants and preferably strawhat (to resemble one of photos in his "favourite magazine" )
Character Biography: Sir Archer Fourth is one of lucky Glitches to claim self-awarness , also he is one of unlucky Glitches who on his escape out of planet ran into ion storm resulting in...rather interesting side effects ...he was blabbering around untill finally he ran out of fuel and had to scavange planet not so far. There , in deep ruins of city he found stockpile of old human magazines (probably replicas)...having found his clothing very ...simmilar to one's on photo he immidiately made conclusion of his life "I am a human"...having red through the stockpile in no time , he brough them back to spaceship and locked them in his safe , to reread them yet again , and again , and again... Now he has set his journey to find other humans to be able settle down amongst them.

Prolly there are some grammar mistakes , but there always should be little room to improve , eh?
Also it's rather small app. but I am quite handicapped ATM with lore...but it should be yet more interesting to find it out all IC , hence having less metagame .

Character Biography:

Enor is different from most young men. Instead of seeking adventure, and glory, he seeks a quiet, domestic life. He was never fond of adventure, yet that is mostly due to the danger that comes associated with such adventures. Whilst he is certainly not a wimp, and boasts a well-built figure, he is not in the least bit keen on the idea of change, and thus has a hatred of both adventure, and those whom would seek it. He believes that he is the one in the right, that he is the one with common sense, and that all whom would go out in hunt of glory in order to satisfy their thirst for adventure are simply fools.

He instead spent his time getting a highly-sought education, and he also managed to develop a keen interest in musical pursuits. Where some devote their time to adventure, Enor devoted his to music. He has become somewhat skilled in playing both the Guitar, and Piano, and he is keen on learning to play other instruments.

Whilst he would claim 'adventurers' are simply fools, there is perhaps a deep-rooted reason for his hatred. His brother was certainly what one would call an adventurer. Whilst Enor was happy to soak up the privilege that his lifestyle brought, his brother would sooner leave for the stars in order to build his own life, his own destiny. And so he did. Yet his life, his destiny, was cut short. It is not known when, or how, and Enor did not much care to attempt to figure such out. He knew only that he was once a sibling, and now an only child, and that was all he needed to know.

Due to his loathing of adventure, he has never even left the city he was raised in, with his parents catering for his every whim. It's fair to say he is from a somewhat privileged family, and his voice tends to have what could only be described as a certain, 'upper-class' to it. Yet even one so hating of adventure can grow bored. After weeks, no, months, of thought, Enor decided it was time he make what would perhaps be the biggest decision in his life. The decision to move. He took nothing with him, aside from the clothes on him, and with the help of his parents spaceship, he set off, in search of a distant home....

Perhaps, then, even one so hating of adventure, cannot deny it's calling.

Character Biography: This unrivalled Floran High Priestess was exiled over 5 rings (years) ago for crimes unknown to the public populace of the Floran home-worlds, and now she is on a pilgrimage to retrieve her honour as she fights for the good of the Floran empire as the Elders' right-hand assassin. Receiving mighty contracts from the eldest of the florian council, Greenbiter sails around the Beta and Gamma quadrants as she slays those who oppose the mighty germination. Where is her next target? Only her victims shall know, before meeting the deadly end of one of her diamond-edged curved blades.

PERSONALITY: Realtively shy, and exceedingly curious. Has a tendency to take things that don't belong to her* - though not with malicious intent. Instead of seeing it as 'taking something that doesn't belong to her*', she* sees it as 'getting something she* likes but does not yet have'. Though this thinking may be naive, do not expect her* to be completely. As a Floran, she* was trained to defend herself*, and though she* is not that great at that, she* is indeed capable of the 'stabby stabby'. Speaking of, she* lacks the speech impediment which is so prevalent among her* Floran peers. She* enjoys learning things, whether through reading books, or memorizing blueprints, and enjoys actively seeking out these tidbits of knowledge. ((OOC KNOWLEDGE: She has a mad scientist dark side that I plan on developing later - only mentioning it here so that people don't get mad and say I'm pulling this depth out of nowhere))

Character Description: Green-skinned, with purple flowers, and sage-green leaves. She's* relatively short, but in a proportional manner, as she* is 'compact'.

(* = Florans are genderless according to the wiki, with that said, she* exudes stereoypically feminine mannerisms and the way her cell structure is organized makes her look vaguely like a female human)

Character Biography: Due to not fitting in in her settlement, she was exiled. Her pursuit of knowledge, and interest in 'shiny' things were not as appreciated amongst her fellow Florans, and as she was not actively dedicated to hunting down and stabbing things, she was pushed out, so that she did not 'corrupt' the podlings. After a month of wandering her planet, she found a downed ship. Unfortanately one of he pilots were still alive. She made this human repair the ship - she even supplied him the materials. Though end the end, they were both planning a double-cross. Upon completion, the human attempted to stab her so that he could escape, too bad for him that she was prepared for this. She ended up devouring him, something she did not normally do (as if she kept eating other sentients, how would she continue to gain knowledge?), and infecting his ship. She left her planet with no regrets and continues adventuring to this day.



I'd like to address the fact that you've been calling people out on no last names, and I can understand why, but I'm a plant. We don't have families. In addition, she has no age because she doesn't bother to keep count.

Character Biography:

Enor has had a long hatred of adventure, and has always enjoyed the idea of finding a quiet, peaceful village to settle down in. He has never been keen on the hustle and bustle of cities, and instead appreciates the idea of a humble farming life. His parents abandoned him when he was born, and he was left in the care of an elderly man. The two were in completely alone, and rarely saw other people, aside from when the occasional traveler came through. Enor grew to love the quiet life, although he would definitely like to have contact with more than just one person.

Enor worked as a farm-hand, and he became fairly strong. His work consisted mainly of chopping wood, hunting, and cooking. Yet his favorite thing to do was to play the guitar, which belonged to the elderly man. He was taught the basics, and managed to play a few tunes. Together, these activities helped to pass the time.

It wasn't until his 20th Birthday, when the Elderly Gentleman passed away after having looked after Enor for his whole life. As a final gift, he told Enor that he had secretly been restoring a Spaceship, as he knew that Enor wanted to leave, in search of a quiet village to settle down in. Not long after he passed away, Enor left with only the clothes on his back, leaving everything that belonged to the elderly man out of respect, and began to explore the stars, despite hating exploration. He has hated his life for the past four years, being forced to explore in order to find the correct place for a home, yet now it seems as though he has perhaps finally found a suitable place for a home...

I dont know much of the lore, although like somebody said above me, I look forward to learning it IC. I hope this application is better than the previous, and I absolutely promise that I have not written any differently in this than I usually would [I understand the last one appeared overdone] If accepted, I look forward to the Roleplay!

Character Biography: Naugh had become a spaceship commander at the age of 18, he's talent, intelligence and passion for the creation and exploration are second to no one which did not sit well with the high rank commanders, he was forced to commit one of the thoughest choices of his young life. After a great ruse by the 5 top commanders where they captured Naugh's crew they made him face exile. He could not let is friends die because of him so he fled to the stars hoping that one day he would reunite with them again one more time and defeat the strong opression that was above all of them.

 

Character Name: Kali'Rik (Nickname Moonbeak)

Character General Info: Moonbeak is a 23 year old female Avian, while she has the looks of an innocent woman, she is extensively trained in combat, although she will not harm that who do not wish harm to her, or the Avians in general. Moonbeak doesnt have much muscle, although she knows how to handle a bow or dagger with skill.

Character Description: Moonbeak has beautiful blue feathers, as stated above doesn't give off the impression she is very strong, she has a long beak but it suits her as she is relatively tall yet skinny (I skipped a bit of the detail here as I have provided a picture)

Character Biography: Moonbeak was born on a distant planet under the name Kali'Rik, her parents were both devout to worshipping Kluex, and so Kali'Rik was also brought up to worship him, she lived and trained as any normal Avian would, although her hopes were set on the stars, at night she would stare up at the two moons of her homeplanet and pray that someday she would be up there, in the stars, her friends however thought it ridiculous of her to be the one who ascends to the stars, and as she always had her head in the clouds she picked up the nickname "Moonbeak", this name stuck, yet she didn't mind, it was who she was and it was what she wanted, she didn't mind that it stemmed from an insult. Moonbeak's home slowly but surely came to ruin due to the vicious wild creatures that walked the surface, as her people were leaving she sighed with relief as she entered a spaceship for the first time, her and her parents soared across the stars searching for somewhere to call home, her father taught Moonbeak to pilot a ship before they ran out of fuel and they became stranded above lonesome looking planet.

(The whole "My friends and family are dead" is awfully generic, some of her townsfolk died as they would being on a hostile world, the people finally packed up and most of them left, split up into other little groups searching the stars, her parents are alive IC, although wont be able to be interacted with, hopefully this doesn't cause any problems though)

Character General Info: Aged 21. He's quite shy, and won't really open up to strangers well. He won't share much personal information, but will always try his best to help somebody if he gets the chance. He's very giving, sometimes to a point where he doesn't realise he just gave away something he spent hours trying to get.
Character Description: He has black hair with green highlights, a black jacket and a pair of jeans. He wears a pair of glasses that are a bit too loose, and he keeps having to push up.
Character Biography: Marcus is the son of a space explorer, who thought he was skilled enough to go out on his own. He took this chance as soon as it came, and he told his dad that he was good enough to become a space explorer. He didn't realise what he was getting himself into, and now spends most of his time alone or playing guitar for a few friends. He learned guitar at the age of 14, as he felt it was a great way to spend time alone and have fun at the same time.

 

Character Name: Valentina Songbird

Character General Info:
Valentina Songbird is an Avian who looks to be in her early 20s. She prefers to carry a violin with her at all times, but when the requirement to take arms is an absolute must, she either uses a one-handed sword or a shotgun. Because she is a typical female, she lacks the strength required to wield two-handed swords, or the one-handed sword & shield combination. Other than the time when weaponry is required, she is fairly innocent. As much as she enjoys being alone in the grasslands, she gladly accepts company as it gives her the impression that there really is light at the end of the long, lonely tunnel her life has been.

Character Description:

Valentina stands in seemingly serious pose that somewhat conceals her real personality. She has has black feathers with white fur around her face, and her beak is relatively generic to the settlement she was brought up in. She's around the average height for adult Avians, but she's relatively skinny.

Character Biography:
Valentina was born on Alpha Pi-1 Peg 472 I a, a forest planet home to weak creatures. Her settlement, which no longer exists, was a very religious settlement. To a point where casually referring to the winged god of the Aether would get you exiled or hung. During Valentina's years in school, she focused on learning to play the violin. She was quite unpopular due to the colour of her feathers, and she only had one friend - Rose Featherfeet. The two went their own ways later on, so not much is known about Rose. When Valentina was 14, she clearly stated out loud that she did not believe in Kluex, and that she believed Kluex was just a random figure who does not deserve to be worshipped. This got her exiled from the settlement, and at the same time - disowned by her parents. Valentina was hurt by this, as parents who disown their children for having different beliefs are simply parents who do not care.
As Valentina was exiled from her settlement, the only thing she could think of doing is search for a cave, or some other Avian outcasts. After a couple of hours, she had found a cave with other outcasts who took her in and trained her in the arts of one-handed sword fighting, hunting, and flying her ship. Around 10 years later, she left the cave to continue her life alone, and to put her skills to practical use - bringing her here, to the universe of Unbound Travels.

Character General Info: 35 years old. He is a traveler of sorts, he is far from a jolly fellow (check biografy for details) , he thinks that pacifists are delusional blind fools, who ignore the fact that peace is just delaying the inevitable. In his lifetime he had learned how to shoot a rifle and handle a knife.
Character Description: he has a ponytail , wears black casual shirt with black cool pants (if without armor, but with armor he would prefer light armor as opposed to heavy armor )
Character Biography: In the midst of the evacuation of earth John was left to die by Carl Prin (a loan shark ) (this is happening near a space ship-like vessels entrance) . As Carl starts to walk into the ship , a person jumps out of a corner and shoots him in the right thigh and stomach . Carl drops on the ground and the person walks up and says: "Consider this dept paid" and the person shoots Carl in the head . The person dragged John to the ship and flew away to space. When they where out of Earths atmosphere John said : " What the hell took you so long Judie ." As Judie started to patch up John she smiles and said : " I was stuck in traffic dad ". John pulls up a slight smile in response. when John was patched up he proposed to go to the nearest planet thats a safe distance away from formely known as Earth(as far away as they could, meaning they used all the fuel). As soon as they landed John got a tingly feeling that something bad is gonna happen . After a while they made a camp ,pitched some tents , made a campfire and went to sleep. The very next day John woke up and saw Judie cooking some food . Judie said while sharing some food : " Good morning dad, Here`s your breakfeast and howd you sleep ?" John answered : " good , you ?" Judie responded with a slight stutter while she sadly looked at her right arm : " i got bit , but im fine ". " show me the bitemark !" and Judie rolled up her sleeves and the bitemark had a line going up the arm and spreading towards the heart. John grabbed her hand , beamed to the ship( Judie was layd to the corner ) and started to franticly search for some antitoxin. He searched all of the" knicks and krannies" and eventually found a medikit , but the syringe for the antitoxin was broken. As John sees this he breaks a single tear goes to Judie ,kneels down to her height , hugs her and says : " love you kid , i will never forget you and Sarah(Johns wife who got mugged and killed)" With whatever breath Judie had in her lungs she whispered into John`s ear and said : " Love you too dad " with a smile on her face Judie`s body started to go cold in John`s arms. Some time later John decided to bury Judie and move on . He scavenged what little fuel he could get to get away from this planet as far as possible.Eventually he was stranded above an unknown planet.

 

Character Name: Whirr Xat
Character Race: Glitch
Character general info: Calculated and intelligent like all Glitch are meant to be, Whirr will do whatever is needed to fulfill the current task at hand. He will go against all of his preferences if it meant he would succeed in achieving his current goal. This does however mean he can overwhelm himself and cast aside others for a petty effort. When he is not focused on a goal though? Well he becomes so full of life, it is hard to believe he is artificial.
Character Description:

In body he looks like most glitches due to their nature in being machines. Painted black and fitted with piercing blue eyes and antennae/ The only thing that really differentiates him from other glitches built like him is that he has small dents around him that he has acquired since self awareness during his travels.
Character Biography: After achieving self awareness and breaking free from the hivemind, Whirr left with other glitches. Though few in comparison to the total population, there were still many. The horde left, group by group, to make their own settlements on other planets until Whirr was alone. Everything before leaving the hivemind is hard to recall for him as he wasn't even himself in that time, but there are two thingd he does know from his time as part of the hivemind, he is artificial and hivemind still exists. Overall he wants to find out who created the glitch and the hivemind, but he knows he can't do it in his current state, alone and without a single possession but a ship with no fuel.

 

Character Name: Motokio Samisuta

Character Race: Hylotl

Character General Info: Early 20s, Motokio is quiet and keeps to herself, but if she is approached she is willing to make conversation. However she is not fond of Floran(s?) due to an incident in her past. ((Not sure what is the plural of Floran.))
Motokio has been learning how to use weapons, though she struggles with heavy melee weapon due to the weight. Motokio favors guns and is pretty proficient at handling them.

Character Description: Average height for a Hylotl. She has purple skin with a dark grey/black belly and green fins.


Character Biography: Motokio was alone. The past months were pretty harsh on her. Surviving scavenging for fuel, she had to learn fast. If she didn't she was dead. Learn how to grow food, how to defend herself, how to navigate and maintain a small spaceship and most importantly how to deal with loss.

A few months ago the civilian transport ship she was aboard landed on a planet for supplies, the captain of the ship ignored the warnings that they were dangerously near Floran worlds.

They stayed overnight as several the Hylotl crew members went out into the woods to gather supplies. Motokio wanted to go into the lake a few hundred meters away from the camp yet her parents denied her request. So night while most of the people were asleep she snuck off into the bushes to go the lake.

After about an hour swimming in the lake she heard screaming and saw smoke coming from the direction of the camp, Motokio hurried and ran towards the smoke, to her dismay she saw the Floran(s?) ransacking the Hylotl camp. She looked around for her parents but they were nowhere to be found, she watched in horror hidden in the bushes as the last of the Hylotl crew members were slain by the Floran, being just a civilian ship they were not heavily armed.

Motokio went back into the lake and hid. After several hours she decided to go back to the ship and looked around. Several Floran were around but she had to leave this planet. She snuck her way towards the ship aiming to head towards the smaller shuttle which she was taught how to pilot a few weeks ago. Arriving at the door of the shuttle she opens it and steps in. She immediately went for the controls and began the launch sequence. The door to the side of the ship opened and the launch sequence began.

Suddenly, Motokio heard the door behind her open. She turned and saw a Floran armed with a wicked looking blade. She remembered the emergency compartment next to her and broke it. Inside was a single fire disposable flare gun some rations, seeds, some odd tool device which she saw some of the crewmen use to fix different things. The rest was unimportant as she pulled out the flare gun and pointed it at the Floran.

"Step out of the shuttle!" Motokio warned nervously, her had shaking. The Floran hissed and began to move towards her. She didn't know what to do. The craft launched and began to fly up. This staggered the Floran and was enough to get Motokio back to her senses. She aimed and fired.....

The 1,600 °C flare hit the Floran square the in chest. The Floran was knocked back and out of the exit port of the shuttle. Motokio quickly hit the switch to close the door as the shuttle continued to fly higher into the sky.

Now floating in space, Motokio simply sat there not knowing what to do. Her parents were probably dead, everyone she knew were probably dead. She grew up on that ship, now it was gone. After a few hours of sobbing she composed herself and set off.

The next few months were hard and exhausting. No contact with anyone just her with a dwindling supply of food and fuel. She found a nearby planet with both resources and used the last of her fuel to jump there. She sat on the pilots chair and prepared herself for another trip to gather supplies.....

Just like what the crew of the ship she was on did..........

Daniel is 21 years old, he has ADD and preferred the adventuring life rather than the dull and boring school life many boys of his age had to go through. Although lackadaisical and absent minded at times, Daniel is gifted with a strong cognitive attribute.

Character Biography:
Spec broke free of the hivemind and escaped to live among the stars. Now self aware, he goes with other Glitches to create civilization. During this period, he has time to discuss with his now self aware fellow Glitches. After creating civilization and much discussion, curiosity hits him and he sets out on an adventure to find out as much as he can about the hivemind.
