Closed Unable to start SAIL interface to begin game

So this has been happening to me on both nightly and stable, whenever I try to make a new character. It really hinders me due to the fact that without starting the interface, you cannot leave the ship. The "Press E" Indicator stays there, but when I press E it does nothing. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Yeah it is. Like 1 in 50 characters I make works, But characters that I have already had never have any problems with the interface.

 

Was the background planet loaded when you try? It could be just a long loading time in which case the interface will not appear till everything is loaded.

 

Yeah. I don't even try to move until it is fully loaded in and all the sounds start. I don't know what it is, but I feel like I may need to uninstall and reinstall if i'm the only one with this issue

 

I suggest renaming your giraffe_storage folder and verifying your game files through Steam, then trying again (should be the equivalent of a fresh install without having to download everything again).
