Heh. Nothing can be done about it though other than to remove it yourself. Procedurally generated planets and all. In fact, due to the number of planets in the game and planned to be in the game.. It's probable that this will be seen countless times in different forms, different ores, and so on.
weiner bullet
Those are the worst! Haha ... Back on track. I would assume that this was a rare event. The generation was close but wasn't even complete. However, depending on how many truly random shapes/designs are possible, we may see something similar again. The thing I find most distressing is that this appeared near the surface; even more rare I'd say. Just how many countless others are there below?! On a nicer note though, maybe there are hearts and stars that have generated. From a coding perspective, is there a way to circumvent/avoid certain predefined symbols or designs? Might coding that stifle the generation in unexpected ways though?
Correct, Although the original (The Sanskrit symbol that was then used in many religions and such) can be any size, shape or oreintation, so the nazi swastika still qualifies as the Sanskrit symbol.
It's in fact a lot more than that, it's been used in countless regions before that. The symbol is over 3000 years old.
Why? If people get offended over procedurally generated symbols... well they're really going out of their way to get offended, aren't they? Anyways, if mars has a face on it's surface, I don't see why other planets shouldn't have their own coincidental formations, however inappropriate.
Those are just a small amount of swastika's you know (Litterally, any shape, size, colour, orientation ect). The nazi swastika is just a particular design of one that they took for their own purpose.
