Server Help Ubuntu 12.04 viewing player connections?

How can I view player connections to the game server?

I am using a VPS Ubuntu 12.04 server. I know i can type w to see users logged into the VPS, but it does not show people connected to the game server.

I looking around on SSH client stuff but can't seem to find out how.


Also on the topic of this, how do I ban people from the game server? (I haven't found the need to do this, because i keep my server small)

You can't do either yet. They have not added that.

Right now I am trying to work around that and putting online usercount on my site by using grep on the log file and just subtracting disconnects from connections, but starbound doesn't seem to be logging every disconnect, I end up with a way higher usercount then it really is.

If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
