two issues since Android 1.4 release: sound and sales summary

I got the following two issues since the installation of 1.4.4.135 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A, SM-T510:

1. the sound in game is totally gone
no matter how I adjust the sound in game, there is just no sound at all (no music, no footsteps, etc.). I tested with other games/apps, the sound works fine. This issue just occurred with the update.

2. the summary of sold items during night time is chaotic
every night, there is a summary of sold items, since the update the summary of money is just listed as random numbers in a vertical line behind each item. below is an illustrative example:

large egg 5
Apple 32
Cheese 1
Wine 9
