Twice in a row, a new character dropped onto/into a building

I decided to wipe my character and universe saves entirely with the new update (I'd lost so much with the ship wipe anyway), so I remade my character from scratch and teleported down onto a planet

I appeared standing inside a mushroom person's house.

Now, that's cool and all, but I ended up restarting again when I found out that said house was in a large pit that'd take me probably half an hour to get out of, so I restarted once more and remade my character.

And landed on the roof of a wizard's tower

Is this gonna be the new thing for this update? Every new character starts out on/in a structure? Or is it just me?
