Hey guys, I haven't been active at all because I've left Starbound ( The sacrilege! ), but I wanted to let it build, to develop, and grow in it's many ways. I also wanted to avoid another character wipe....... But I'll be doing a rebirth of my tutorial, cause I'm back baby. And this one WILL be useful. I promise....... Maybe......
Step 1. Now you have you character. GOOD JOB! So, the quests should walk you through, so I'll skip over that. I will note that you can use the interface ( I shall dub thee "Quick Button Menu"! ) and hit the little exclamation mark ( ! ) to view

quests ( Previous and Currently Accepted ).
Some quick pointers for doing the quests here ↓

    • QUEST 1 This one's name is actually class specific. Fish out of water the Hylotl's one.
    • QUEST 2 Shop Class. I'm not sure if this is the name for all of them, but it involves chopping down some trees. Use you Matter Manipulator
    • QUEST 3 MAKING YOU'RE VERY FIRST WEAPON. OMG, like totz legit! You need some vines. And some wood. You can combine these together in a crafting table. So kill a monster with this and then cook it at a camp fire
    • QUEST 4 So, you need to make a furnace. That's a campsite and stone I believe.
    • QUEST 5 This one is making a single iron bar. I suggest making a pick, which is stone and wood at a crafting table
    • QUEST 6 You make your first distress beacon here. And probably your only. Unless you are doing a challenge. But make this, and then place it in your ship locker ( or base if you have one ) and then stock up on bandages, food and coal/wood.
*I really hope we get more quests, or a way to set our own quests, maybe on a bulletin board in our ship or in our Quick Button Menu.

Step 2. So, you should have some food, a bow, and you distress signal, and maybe a sword or two if you were lucky and got a planet with some weapons. You're even luckier if you got Pulse Jump. I find it works a treat for this boss. Though Energy Dash doing some good as well. Yrimir has a tutorial a boss fight video, but I suggest not watching that. It's more fun to now know anything.

    This is the penguin.....

    Wait, sorry wrong penguin.[IMG]
It also spawns in some Mini-UFO's, and some Penguin Tanks, and foot soldiers. Though, they're not a problem.

It is very detailed, and has a ton of different stages. This happens from damage, just so you know.

Step 3. Go and fight him. You can't summon him on unnatrual terrain, but you can summon him and then run up onto a premade arena. I wouldn't suggest this, because I didn't get his Molten Core drop when I fought him on an arena. You can box him in, because only the tips of his wings can't break things. Maybe a bug, but exploit it. He spawns minions, and then eventually, steams shooting energy from his underside, and the starts teleporting. When he does this, just run. Run for the hills. And rinse and repeat. You can't go wrong. So, good luck!
Alrighty then, that's my first proper guide. Hope you guys liked it, and have fun in Starbound! Whoop whoop!

P.S, there seems to be an extra 2 or 3 spoiler tabs on my screen, but that may not be there for you. Have a good day

Yeah, I can't fix it. I edited the post, and it showed multiple spoiler tags. And when I deleted them, the won't delete on the post. :( Now it's retarded.

Soooo what's the point of this? The only piece of information you present not in the game is about the penguin ship, and your guide doesn't really give me any strategy that wouldn't be immediately apparent, like running from attacks. You also don't give any information about his summons, although you do mention them briefly, and you don't talk about one of the actual UFO's attacks; the slam from invisibility. If you want to write a good walkthough go through every single thing you need to do, while only outlining things that the game directly tells you to do; don't tell me what to do for a quest, tell me to do it.
