It would be so awesome if you could make water like planets, you would spawn on a small island maybe theres a small port village on that planet. You would unlock for a certain amount of pixles blueprints for a boat that u can only use when you are in the water. You could meet other ai on boats even pirates. You would be able to unlock blueprints for underwater diving with limited air supply, but there is eventually a blueprint for underwater gear with unlimited air. Underwater you can discover fish people villages or huge monsters that from time to time even attack your boat. If you like this idea i have a bunch of other ideas if you would like me to share.
I'm betting this is already in development, given that boats and even an entire aquatic race are supposed to be Coming Soon.
Well I have seen some posts about addition of water planets but not pirates underwater civilizations boats or monsters attacking your boat.
