Traction and terrain

  1. I am suggesting physical block properties that go beyond appearance. Perhaps they are already implemented.

    I want ice blocks to be slippery. Not terribly so, but just enough that you sort of slide a bit further when trying to come to a stop.
    I want sand blocks to slow you down.
    I want mud blocks to sound squishy and ever so slightly delay jumping so they feel sticky.
    I want snow blocks to sound crunchy and maybe even melt (partially?) if placed too close to a heat source.
    I want certain hot blocks that cause damage over time that can be overcome with proper gear.

    Are these things confirmed? If not, what do you guys think and do you have any other ideas?

    I think that's common sense though, but what about in-depth procedural generation?

  4. I hope so but from the livestreams I've viewed it's hard to tell because so much is disabled.
