Now I will be the first to admit, I do not know how complicated it would be to do this, but I'm suspecting it is likely to simply be an "alternative mouse control" type of deal. I mean, touch screen features and the track pad simply emulate what a single button mouse can do right? I somehow doubt it would be too complicated to enable this feature seeing as the vast majority of the groundwork for it is most likely already coded in. That said, I think it would be phenomenal for the console players to be able to use this as the PC game makes great use of the mouse. For one thing, it would greatly facilitate the use of certain farming tools such as for tilling the earth or watering and would also help in selecting items in the action bar. To a lesser extent, it would also help in interacting with the environment such as picking up plants and chosing what stone you would hit with the pick. All things that can be done in the base game, but is a little more cumbersome in the console game. I believe these are features that should not be taken for granted.
So uh... No love for touch screens? Just me? Dang, and here I thought this would be a huge quality of life fix.
I would absolutely love to be able to use the Vita's excessive number of touchscreens in the place of the rather unwieldy right analogue stick for the mouse cursor. I might actually use the mouse cursor then.
I know this is an old thread but I want to +1 it because I want to add that it would be helpful not just on the playstation game devices, but also on the Switch as well.
