And yet there are self-help websites as well as conditioning treatments that helps people get over phobias. I understand what you are trying to say, but you really CAN get over phobias; here's a website that details what phobia really is, and how you can get over them:

That might be arguable, but I agree with you. You can help some phobias, and some of them are indeed too strong to be helped. Maybe. You really don't need to be afraid of spiders. Chainsaws, yes, venom-less spiders, there's no need.

 

You linked me to a website that said they can be helped, you yourself said they can be helped, but me saying they can be helped makes me look bad. Smooth moves x-lax.

Where did I say that? I'm saying going "This is futile" is only making it harder then being motivated about getting over your fears.

 

That sounds like a serious phobia there.
But everything has been said, randomness, randomness everywhere, you will probably find something that will look like a spider, there are "short enemies" and in this category, I can see something like spider to be generated.
And than there will be "pre-made monster" that will not be random, but will be in the game. Creepers from minecraft will appear, Poptops (that sure doesn't look like spiders) and virorbs (nothing like a spider at all), that's all we know right now I think.

 

Phobia is different than a normal fear. It's much worse than that. Have you ever had a panic attack? Have you tried to just "get motivated and exit the panic attack?" Well if you ever have one, then you'll see what I mean by phobias being much worse than a normal "I'm a kid and I'm afraid of the dark" kind of fear.

 

A panic attack is different from a spider phobia. Although they can definitely be caused by spider phobias. When being helped with a spider phobia there will be a controlled environment and people to help you (if you've gone that far to get help) with the attack.

 

GUYS COME AWN .... this little back n forth is pointless as I AM the space governor and I will enforce the law that is in the SPACE CONSTITUTION which outlaws spiders. So.... everything will be okay.

Honestly though, they probably won't be that accurate, since the multilegged creatures I've seen generated looked like crustaceans.
BUT BUT. Don't count out the fact that there will be unique mobs, like poptops. So there's a chance there are earthly creatures like dogs, cats, spiders.

 

Would a pixelated cartoon spider really scare you that much?

That's a pretty extreme fear, if so.
